Savaria Monarch Portable Lift - Lithium Ion-M929001

The Savaria Monarch Portable Lift, item M929001, is the 440 lb (200 kg) motor in Savaria's M-Series Portable line. A caregiver carries it between tracks.

What does it do and how does it work?

The lift hangs from a trolley and raises or lowers a person in a sling.

• 5 kg (11 lb) motor, light enough for one caregiver to carry between rooms.
• 200 kg (440 lb) safe working load; a 130 kg (286 lb) version is also made.
• Two SureClip hooks open outward, so a loose sling loop is easier to see.
• About 30 lifts of 61 cm (24 in) per charge; an emergency brake holds the load.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

It suits a caregiver transferring one person between bed, chair and bathroom at home or in care. Choose a fixed lift for one room, or a floor lift where no track fits.

Will it fit?

The track must carry at least 440 lb (200 kg) and be installed to the maker's instructions.

• The strap reaches 230 cm (90 1/2 in) from the track attachment. Measure to the lowest transfer point.
• Unit: 55 cm (21 3/4 in) wide, 14 cm (5 5/8 in) deep, 27 cm (10 5/8 in) high.

Using it day to day

Before each transfer, charge the battery and check the strap, sling, carabiner and track end stops.

Unwind the strap with DOWN, keep tension, and clip the carabiner into the trolley. Charge with the M920001 charger, unplug before use, and top up 15 to 30 minutes a day.

If the power fails, lower the person with the supplied 4 mm Allen key, over the bed or chair first.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

Accessories include the carry bar kit M921335-272, strap extension M920370 and scale kit M921422. The lowest rating among lift, track and sling is the limit.

Replace the strap every 2 years, have the lift and track load tested yearly, and never leave the person unattended.

Which version should I choose?

Choose the 440 lb (200 kg) M929001 for a heavier person, or the 286 lb (130 kg) version for more lifts per charge, about 70 instead of 30.
