The BEKA NORA Pro is a powered sit-to-stand lift for an assessed standing transfer. It raises a person from sitting, and the leg pad adapts as the legs straighten.
What does it do?
- Powered lift and leg spreading move a person from a bed, chair or toilet into a standing position.
- The contoured leg pad has two swivel axles and multi-layer memory foam, and a leg separator keeps the knees apart.
- Retractable safety belts secure each leg, and the footplate detaches.
- Rear castors have brakes.
Who is it for?
It suits a person who can take weight on one leg and sit on the edge of the bed unaided.
- The usable body height is 1.48 to 1.97 m (4 ft 10 in to 6 ft 6 in), with a safe working load of 205 kg (451 lb).
- A clinician assesses the person before the lift is chosen.
- A person who cannot bear weight needs a passive floor lift instead.
Clip or loop?
The NORA Pro comes in two connections.
- RUBIN clip version, 921078000.
- RUBIN loop version, 921078001.
- NORA raising slings run S to XXL: S 40-60 kg, M 55-85 kg, L 75-125 kg, XL 120-160 kg and XXL 150-205 kg.

Will it fit the room?
Measure the doorway, the bed or chair, and the space for a carer behind the lift.
- Closed, the lift is 994 mm (39.1 in) long and 703 mm (27.7 in) wide outside, on a 543 mm (21.4 in) internal width.
- Open, the external width is 1,063 mm (41.9 in), with 910 mm (35.8 in) between the legs.
- It stands 1,091 to 1,659 mm (43.0 to 65.3 in) high, and the turning radius is 1,263 mm (49.7 in).

Using it day to day
- Charge the battery fully before the first use.
- Brake the lift and the bed or chair, fit the sling, and check both leg belts before raising.
- Raise until the person stands, then move on level indoor floors only.
- The motor runs for 2 minutes, then needs an 18 minute pause.
- Do not use the lift while the battery is charging.
- If the power fails, turn the red emergency lowering knob clockwise to lower the person slowly onto a chair or bed.
Charging and care
- The removable 25 V lithium-ion battery is rated 4.3 Ah; a full charge takes about 5 hours.
- The lift is IPX4 and the hand control and battery are IPX6; the charger is IPX4. Splashes are tolerated, not immersion.
- Wipe the frame with a soft cloth and mild soap, and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol. No abrasives or solvents.
- Clean and disinfect daily, check the lift weekly, and book the annual safety check.

Can it be used in a shower?
The lift is IPX4 against splashes, which does not mean it may be submerged.
Can the person stand alone in it?
No. A carer operates the lift and stays with the person throughout the transfer.
Is a battery included?
Yes, the lift comes with its removable lithium-ion battery. A spare is part 921077400.
