The Drive 11125KD-1 is a bedside commode for a person who slides sideways off the bed. Grey powder-coated steel, arms that drop, rated 300 lbs (136 kg).
What does it do and how does it work?
The arms drop so the person slides onto the seat instead of standing up and turning.
- Push the lever forward to drop an arm. Lift it until the latch clicks before anyone leans on it.
- Push-button legs set the seat from 20 in to 24 in (51-61 cm). All four legs use the same hole.
- Snap-on seat and lid, a removable back, and a pail with a carry handle.
- Plastic armrests and four rubber tips. No wheels.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits someone who can sit at the edge of the bed and slide sideways.
- Choose the wheeled drop-arm commode when the chair has to roll.
- Choose a shower commode when the seat has to go into the shower.
- Choose a patient lift when the person cannot sit at the edge and slide.
Will it fit?
The gap between the arms is 19.75 in (50 cm). Hips have to pass through it.
- The seat is 13.75 in by 16.5 in (35 by 42 cm).
- Set the seat from 20 in to 24 in (51-61 cm) so it meets the mattress.
Using it day to day
It arrives in sections. Pin the arms, pail frame and back together, then snap on the seat and lid.
- The seat stays down while someone sits. Each leg button uses the same hole, and all four tips touch the floor.
- The arms steady a sit or a stand. They are not a hoist for full body weight.
- Lift the pail out by its handle. Wipe the seat after use. An opened commode cannot be returned (return policy).
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
Bedside use only. The limit is 300 lbs (136 kg).
- The pail is 12 qt (11.4 L), with a splash shield. We confirm the pail size before you order.
- A replacement splash shield is no longer available. Keep the one that comes with the frame.

Does 11125KD-1 include more than one commode?
No. 11125KD-1 is one commode. It arrives in sections that pin together, not as a stack of chairs.
Can I remove the back for a closer slide?
Yes. The back lifts out of its pins. Snap it back in until the pins click before anyone leans on it.
Will it fold flat for the car?
No. The frame comes apart into pinned sections for assembly. It does not fold flat for a car trunk.
Is the seat open at the front?
No. This seat is closed across the front and has a snap-on lid. The open-front seat is the padded model.

Drive Medical warrants the Deluxe Steel Drop Arm Commode (11125KD-1) to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, for the original consumer purchaser.
- Term: limited lifetime.
- Covers the original consumer purchaser only.
- Excludes failure from owner misuse or negligence, and normal wear and tear.
- Excludes non-durable parts that wear and need periodic replacement, such as rubber tips, casters and grips.
