Drive's 12202KD-4 is a knock-down aluminum shower chair with a back, sold four to a case, for sitting in a tub or shower.
What does it do and how does it work?
Each chair is a seat for washing, with a back and no armrests.
- Grey corrosion-proof aluminum frame, 7.5 lbs (3.4 kg), made using recycled materials.
- Seat 19.25" wide by 11.5" deep (49 cm by 29 cm).
- The back locks with brass push pins under a pinch-free cover and clicks when secure.
- Legs adjust in 1" (2.5 cm) steps, with angled suction-style rubber tips and a support collar.

It suits someone who sits to bathe, wants a back, and needs four matching chairs.
- Need one chair, not four: the single deluxe bath chair.
- Need armrests: the padded-arm shower chair is rated 350 lbs (159 kg).
- Over 300 lbs (136 kg): the bariatric shower chair is rated 500 lbs (227 kg).
Will it fit?
All four tips must sit on the floor, clear of the tub walls.
- Set every leg to the same 1" (2.5 cm) hole so the seat stays level.
- The seat is 19.25" (49 cm) wide. Measure the flat floor inside the tub, not the rim.
- A free home assessment checks the height. Other seats are under bath benches.
Using it day to day
No tools are needed.
- Lay the seat upside down, press each pin, and slide a leg in until the brass pin locks. Then push the back tubes in until they snap.
- Before each bath, push down on the legs so every pin is through the same hole.
- Clean with mild soap, rinse with warm water, and wipe the seat dry. Replace a ripped, worn or missing tip.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
Use it in a bathtub or a shower. The limit is 300 lbs (136 kg) for one person sitting.
- All four tips must touch the floor, and they must stay off the tub walls. Do not stand on the seat.
- Do not use a chair with a loose, torn or shipping-damaged part.

- Bathroom items are not returnable (return policy). The case carton is 30 lbs (13.6 kg).
Which version should I choose?
12202KD-4 is only the grey case of four.
- One chair with a back is RTL12202KDR.
- No back, same style of tips: the bath chair without a back.
- Needs to fold away: the folding shower chair.

Is 300 lbs the limit for one chair or the whole case?
300 lbs (136 kg) is one person on one chair. The case is four chairs.
Can I take the back off?
Yes. Press the push pins and lift the back tubes out. Press them in again until the pins click.
What if a chair arrives damaged?
Do not assemble a damaged chair, and do not let anyone sit on it. Ask us about that chair first.
Can this chair go over the toilet?
No. It is a bath seat for a tub or shower. A toilet safety frame is a different product.

Drive Medical warrants the Deluxe Aluminum Shower Chair (12202KD-4) to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original consumer purchaser.
- Term: limited lifetime.
- Covers the original consumer purchaser only.
- Excludes failure from owner misuse or negligence, and normal wear and tear.
- Excludes non-durable parts that wear and need periodic replacement, such as rubber accessories, casters and grips.
