Description
The Drive 13008 is a tilt-top overbed table on a chrome-plated steel H base, with a walnut-look laminate top that tilts 33 degrees each way.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Tilts 33 degrees each way for reading or meals.
- Height adjusts between 29.5 and 46 in (75 and 117 cm).
- The top locks when the height handle is released.
- Swivel casters and a 15.5 by 26.5 in (39 by 67 cm) H base.
- Supports 50 lb (23 kg); the table weighs 21 lb (9.5 kg).
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For meals, reading, glasses, a phone or books at the bedside.
- For a room where the base rolls under the bed.
- Not a walker, a stand-aid, a transfer aid, or a fixed-level table.
Will it fit?
- Match the 29.5 to 46 in height to the mattress.
- The base is 15.5 by 26.5 in and must roll under the frame.
- Spread the load evenly, and use the lowest height that still clears the mattress.
Using it day to day
- Lift under the top to raise it. Squeeze the trip lever and push down at the column to lower it.
- Loosen the triangle knob, set the tilt, then tighten the knob.
- Check the hardware before each use. Do not use the table if it is damaged or unsteady.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- A free-standing indoor table, not part of the bed frame.
- Two casters lock, on the column end of the base. The two opposite the column do not.
- Not for a television, a computer monitor, or a hot appliance, and not near an open flame.
- Limited lifetime warranty for the original buyer. Casters are wear parts and are not covered. See warranty.
- Other add-ons are under bed accessories.
How does it compare?
- Drive non-tilt overbed table: a fixed level top.
- Drive pivot tilt overbed table: a different tilt mechanism.
- Bed tables: the rest of the range.
Frequently asked questions
When do I swap the black assembly screw?
Only after the table stands upright on its casters. Then fit the chrome screw from the hardware pack.
What if the bottom chrome screw is removed?
Leave the screw marked do not remove in place. Taking it out damages the spring and voids the warranty.
Can I assemble it with a power drill?
No. Tighten the bolts by hand. Do not over-tighten them, and do not use power tools.
