The Drive Exercise Peddler (item 10270KDRSV-1) is a small pedal exerciser in a silver vein finish, with no display and no batteries. Set it before a sturdy chair and pedal with the feet, or kneel at it on the floor and turn the pedals with the hands.

What does it do and how does it work?

• Resistance: one tension knob, from Low (light) to High (heavy).
• Feet: four anti-slip rubber pads that hold the frame and protect the floor.
• Two positions: seated pedalling with the feet, and a kneeling hand-rowing exercise with the hands.
• No display: there is nothing to charge, pair or set.
• Storage: compact for storage and transport; it does not fold.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

It suits someone who can pedal from a sturdy chair, including people who find standing exercise hard, if they can sit down and get up safely.

Will it fit?

• Check that the chair you will use is stable and that your feet reach the pedals without stretching.
• For hand use, you need enough floor space to kneel beside it.

Using it day to day

• Set it on a flat floor so all four rubber pads touch, then turn the knob to the resistance you want.
• Pedal smoothly rather than pushing hard; stop if anything works loose.
• The frame may become hot with extended use, so pause and let it cool before moving it.
• It arrives knocked down; we can assemble it on delivery in the GTA.
