Who it is for
- The safe working load is 600 lb (272 kg). That includes the person, mattress, rails and other add-ons.
- Joerns states a deck near 7 in shortens the distance to the floor. It does not stop a fall. Rails are a care-team decision.

Will it fit the room?
- The sleep surface is 80 in long (203 cm). Overall length is 84.25 in (214 cm).
- Width locks at 35, 39 or 42 in (89, 99 or 107 cm). Narrow it for a doorway, then match the mattress to that setting.
- Joerns wants a mattress at least 6 in (15 cm) deep, and as wide as the setting you lock. See therapeutic mattresses.
- Deck height is 7 in (18 cm) to 30 in (76 cm), without a mattress. Measure the under-bed space if a lift or storage is planned.
- Rails are not included. If you add any, the gaps between a rail and the mattress decide safe use, not the rail model. Health Canada publishes home-bed rail guidance. See bed rails.
How the frame moves
- Four actuators drive the deck. The pendant does hi-lo, back and knee, with pauses at 30 and 45 degrees, plus Comfort Chair, AutoContour and AutoTransfer. The back goes to 65 degrees. The knee goes to 35 degrees.
- This code has rubber feet and locking casters, and it rolls only at the low height. The roll-any-height frame, with foot pedals, is a different code.
- Casters are 3 in (7.6 cm). A battery, a staff control, Trendelenburg and SafeLight are separate accessories.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the roll-any-height EasyCare?
No. This code rolls only when the deck is at its lowest. The roll-any-height frame is a different Joerns code.
Will a 35 inch mattress fit the wide setting?
No. Joerns wants a 42 in mattress at the 42 in setting, and at least 6 in thick. Match the deck you lock.
Does the low deck stop a fall?
No. Joerns says a deck near 7 in shortens the distance to the floor. It does not stop a fall. Rails are a care-team choice.
Is a longer deck in the box?
No. This sleep surface is 80 in. Joerns sells 4 in and 8 in length extensions separately.
The Joerns warranty runs 4 years on mechanical and electrical parts, 15 years on steel and life on the welds.

Joerns Healthcare warrants the EasyCare bed frame (roll-in low, integrated width expansion, 600 lb) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, from the date of delivery.
- Mechanical and electrical components: 4 years.
- Steel structural components: 15 years.
- Welds: lifetime, defined as 20 years.
- Wear parts such as DC batteries and pendants: 90 days.
- Excludes damage from unsuitable environments, abuse or poor maintenance; any alteration, modification or repair not done or approved in writing by Joerns voids the warranty.
