The Drive Therapeutic 5 Zone is a non-powered foam mattress for a standard homecare bed, item 15019. It measures 36 by 80 by 6 in (91 by 203 by 15 cm) and is rated 350 lbs (159 kg).
What is it built from?
- One horizontal cross-cut foam core is divided into five pressure zones for support and pressure redistribution.
- The foam is latex-free, and the non-skid bottom holds it on the deck.
- There are no raised side edges and no heel slope on this model.
- Nothing plugs in: there is no pump, hose or cycle to set.
- Drive positions it as an alternative to an innerspring mattress with fewer service calls; that is not a clinical result.
Who is it for?
- A person whose care team has chosen a fixed foam surface.
- Drive does not label this model as pressure-injury treatment; the nurse, doctor or therapist decides whether it suits the person.
- For a heel section and longer foam warranty, the Gravity 7 is the step up.
- For springs, choose the Drive innerspring 15006.
Will it fit the bed?
- One size: 36 by 80 by 6 in (91 by 203 by 15 cm). It will not fill an 84 in deck or a 39, 42 or 48 in deck.
- 350 lbs (159 kg) is the mattress rating; the bed frame's own safe working load applies if lower.
- At 6 in with no raised edges, check the rail gaps on the bed. Health Canada recommends under 120 mm (4 3/4 in) within and under the rail, and under 60 mm (2 3/8 in) at the rail ends. See bed rails.
- An 80 in deck takes 80 in sheets, not the 84 in extended size. It also ships in some homecare bed packages, including the Delta 1000; measure the deck either way.
- A used mattress cannot be returned. Read the return policy first.
How is it cleaned?
- The removable polyurethane stretch cover is fluid resistant, low shear and vapour permeable.
- Wipe it with warm water and mild detergent. Do not launder or autoclave it, and keep the zip closed. Air dry out of direct sun.
- Inspect it every three months; compression over 30 percent may be treated as a defect.

Warranty details
Drive Medical warrants the Therapeutic 5 Zone support mattress (15019), bought new, against defects in materials, workmanship and assembly. The warranty covers the original purchaser only.
- Foam: 3 years.
- Cover: 1 year.
- Drive repairs, replaces or refunds at its option; labour and shipping are not included.
- Follow the cleaning instructions and inspect the mattress inside and out at least every 3 months.
- Excludes negligence, accidents, sharp objects and tears, fire, improper storage, use without the cover or with a damaged cover, and unauthorized repairs or modifications.
