Description
The Evolution Evo Rollator Walker with Steel Basket is the Evolution Series four-wheel rollator from Evolution Technologies, item code 882979000263, built in four steel-frame sizes with a seat, a back support and a large removable wire basket.
What does it do and how does it work?
- The rigid frame uses 1-1/8 in (28.6 mm) cold-rolled steel tubing, powder coated against scratches, with stainless or plated fasteners.
- The solid plastic seat takes a removable fitted waterproof cushion.
- The large steel wire basket lifts off for loading.
- Four 8 in (203 mm) heavy-duty polyurethane tyres carry the frame.
- Hand brake levers sit under both handles; slow-down and mono brakes are optional.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits someone who wants a rigid, stable four-wheel walker with a high weight limit and a wide option.
- The wide sizes carry 400 lb (181 kg), for a heavier user or a wide gait.
- It is not a wheelchair: never move it while someone is seated.
Will it fit?
- Seat height decides the size: Low 19 in (483 mm), Low Wide 21 in (533 mm), Regular and Wide 23 in (584 mm).
- Seat width is 17 in (432 mm) on Low and Regular and 21 in (533 mm) on the wide sizes; the frame is 21 in (533 mm) or 26 in (660 mm) wide and 30 in (762 mm) long.
- Handles run 30 to 38 in (762 to 965 mm); capacity is 350 lb (159 kg) on Low and Regular and 400 lb (181 kg) on the wide sizes.
- Our free home assessment checks the doorway.
Using it day to day
- Set both handles level with your wrist as you stand straight.
- Check the cushion sits flat, and sit only on level ground.
- Lift the basket off to fill it; the in-basket tote is an option.
- Use the walker to walk, not to push open doors or hit curbs.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Optional additions include a cane holder, cup holder, curb climber, oxygen tank holder, in-basket tote, seat-mounted tray, forearm platform, arm trough and anatomical grips.
- Keep the load within the capacity of your size.
How does it compare?
- The Evolution Trillium 2 is the same maker's folding rollator.
- The Drive Nitro HD is another heavy-duty rollator with a 23 in seat.
- Our 4 wheel rollator range lists other seats and capacities.
We deliver and set up across Toronto and the GTA. The warranty covers Canada and the USA; it is void if the walker pushes open doors, hits curbs or carries a seated passenger. Our service team handles repairs.
