Description
The Golden LiteRider GL111 is a full-size three-wheel scooter rated 300 lb (136.1 kg), built to come apart into six pieces without unplugging a wire.
Who is it for?
A rider who wants a full-size deck at home and a scooter that still fits in the car now and then. The 39" (991 mm) turn is tighter than the four-wheel GL141's 48" (1219 mm), which suits smaller rooms and shop aisles.
How does it drive?
Top speed is 8 km/h (5 mph), which suits indoors and pavement rather than roads. The recommended maximum incline is 6 degrees, so steeper drives and ramps sit outside the manual. Ground clearance is 3.75" (95 mm) under the deck and 2.5" (64 mm) at the transaxle, so a raised threshold stops it.
Tires are solid low-profile 9" front and rear, with 2" rear anti-tippers. Solid tires cannot go flat, and they ride firmer than pneumatic ones. Braking is electro-mechanical with freewheel mode, and an adjustable LED headlight is fitted.
Will it fit your home and car?
It is 41.5" (1054 mm) long and 22" (559 mm) wide, and weighs 125 lb (56.7 kg) assembled.
It comes apart into six pieces with no tools and no wires: the front half is the heaviest at 44 lb (20 kg), the rear half is 28 lb (12.7 kg), the seat with arms is 21 lb (9.5 kg) and the battery pack is 29 lb (13.2 kg).
Measure the doorway and the boot opening first.
Batteries, charging and care
Two 22 Ah batteries are included, with an off-board charger. A charge takes 6 to 8 hours, so plan an overnight job. Charge after each day of use and keep the scooter out of rain, snow and salt. We replace worn batteries.
Seat, tiller and controls
The stadium-style seat is 17" x 16" (432 x 406 mm), black vinyl, with a 16" back and three height positions in 1" steps; a 20" x 18" seat is optional. The wraparound Delta Tiller has a battery gauge, speed dial and key switch.
Colours
Red or Blue.

Delivery and service
We deliver assembled in Toronto and the GTA, set the seat and tiller, and show you how to drive, charge and take it apart. Our technicians service what we sell.
Golden's warranty covers the frame for life, the drive train and electronics for 2 years and the batteries for 1 year.
How does it compare?
The GL141 adds a fourth wheel for stability and gives up 9" of turning circle. Both are in our three-wheel and travel scooter ranges.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the GL111 take to put together?
Golden counts six pieces and no wires between them. The frame halves, seat, battery pack and baskets lift off and drop back.
Is a three-wheel scooter less stable than a four-wheel one?
It turns in a smaller circle and needs more care on a slope. The GL141 is steadier outdoors; ask us which suits your route.
Can the LiteRider go up my driveway ramp?
Golden recommends a maximum incline of 6 degrees. If your ramp is steeper, ask us to look at the angle and surface.
Can I ride it on Toronto sidewalks?
Ontario treats scooter riders as pedestrians; Toronto allows mobility devices on sidewalks, under its own bylaws.
