Description
The Golden LiteRider GL141 is the four-wheel member of Golden's LiteRider pair, rated 300 lb (136.1 kg), with a wider footprint and a frame that comes apart by hand into six pieces.
Who is it for?
A rider who wants the extra wheel under them outdoors, on pavement and driveways. Against the three-wheel GL111 it trades a tighter turn for steadier going on uneven ground.
How does it drive?
Top speed is 8 km/h (5 mph), so it is a pavement and indoors scooter rather than a road machine. Range is up to 20.1 km (12.5 mi) on two 22 Ah batteries at a 200 lb (90.7 kg) rider, and hills or cold weather shorten it.
The recommended maximum incline is 6 degrees, and the manual warns off snow, ice and wet grass entirely.
Ground clearance is 3.75" (95 mm) under the deck and 2.5" (64 mm) at the transaxle. Tires are solid low-profile 9" front and rear, with 2" rear anti-tippers; they will not puncture, but ride firmer than pneumatic. Braking is electro-mechanical with freewheel mode, and an adjustable LED headlight is fitted.
Will it fit your home and car?
It is 43.25" (1099 mm) long, 2.5" more than the three-wheel, 22" (559 mm) wide, with a 48" (1219 mm) turn. It weighs 133 lb (60.3 kg) assembled and comes apart into six pieces with no tools and no wires.
The front half is the heaviest at 52 lb (23.6 kg); the rear half is 28 lb (12.7 kg), the seat with arms is 21 lb (9.5 kg) and the battery pack is 29 lb (13.2 kg). Measure the doorway and boot opening first.
Batteries, charging and care
Two 22 Ah batteries are included, with an off-board charger. A charge takes 6 to 8 hours, so plan an overnight job. Charge after each day of use and keep the scooter out of rain, snow and salt. We replace worn batteries.
Seat, tiller and controls
The stadium-style seat is 17" x 16" (432 x 406 mm), black vinyl, with a 16" back and three height positions in 1" steps; a 20" x 18" seat is optional. The wraparound Delta Tiller has a battery gauge, speed dial and key switch.
Colours
Red or Blue.

Delivery and service
We deliver assembled in Toronto and the GTA, set the seat and tiller, and show you how to drive, charge and take it apart. Our technicians service what we sell.
Golden's warranty covers the frame for life, the drive train and electronics for 2 years and the batteries for 1 year.
How does it compare?
Against the GL111: one more wheel, 2.5" more length, 9" more turning circle and 8 lb more to lift. Both sit in our four-wheel and travel scooter lines.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need four wheels rather than three?
Four wheels sit steadier on uneven pavement and take a wider turn; three turn tighter indoors. Tell us your route and we will match it.
How heavy is the GL141 in the car?
It breaks into six pieces. The front half is the heaviest at 52 lb (23.6 kg); the seat, each battery pack and the rear half are lighter.
What slope can the LiteRider manage?
The recommended maximum incline is 6 degrees. Measure your ramp before ordering, or ask us to check it.
Can I ride it on Toronto sidewalks?
Ontario treats scooter riders as pedestrians; Toronto allows mobility devices on sidewalks, under its own bylaws.
