Description
Handicare Castor is a freestanding floor stand that carries a rail over the bed where a ceiling track cannot be fitted. It comes with an 82 in (2080 mm) rail, item 343100, or a 197 in (5000 mm) rail, item 343101.
Which rail length?
- 343100, the 82 in rail, weighs 97 lb (44 kg) and is rated 450 lb (204 kg).
- 343101, the 197 in rail, weighs 162 lb (73 kg) and carries the same 450 lb (204 kg) rating.
- The 156 in rail is a different item with a different rating.
- The motor, sling and carry bar are separate orders. A ceiling motor such as the C-450 is a different purchase; see fixed ceiling lifts and patient lifts.
How high does it stand?
- The frame is aluminum and stands 79 to 96 in (2000 to 2430 mm) tall.
- There are seven height positions, in 76 mm (3 in) steps.
- Clearance under the rail is 76 to 89 in (1930 to 2260 mm). That is not a motor's strap travel.
Floor and wall
- Each supporting foot is 47.0 in (1190 mm) long and 5.0 in (120 mm) wide. Measure the floor before you order.
- When one leg cannot sit on the floor, as at a bathtub, a separate Handicare wall mount kit attaches one rail end to a wall.

What is included?
You receive the stand for the rail length you choose. The ceiling-lift motor, the sling, the carry bar and the wall kit are separate. Fixed and portable ceiling-lift motors both fit. The stand assembles and comes apart again, which suits occasional lifting in one place.

No. The feet sit on the floor. A separate wall kit can hold one rail end.
