Description
Item 7250 is the Handicare HeelStrap for ReTurn7400 and ReTurn7500 sit-to-stand platforms. It holds the heels on the base plate during a transfer.
What does it do and how does it work?
It stops the feet sliding back as the user stands and turns.
- 330 lbs (150 kg) safe working load, matched to the platform.
- Snap hooks clip into mounting holes in the base plate.
- Adjustable webbing with two clasps behind the heels.
- An anti-slip lining grips the heel area.
- Polyester and polyamide; up to 10 years of normal use.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a ReTurn user whose heels slide back during sit-to-stand.
- The user must bear weight and hold the handles; the strap adds no body support.
- Someone who cannot take weight needs a patient lift instead.
Will it fit?
Fit depends on the platform serial number, not the user's size.
- ReTurn7500 from serial 373317697500500001 and ReTurn7400 from serial 373317697400500001.
- An earlier platform has no mounting holes; check the serial plate and we confirm the fit before you order.
- One length fits every user.
Using it day to day
Adjust the length so the pad sits behind the heels, then close both clasps.
- It can sit in different ways to suit the transfer.
- Check seams, fabric and buckles before use and after washing; discard a worn strap.
- Wash at 60-80 C (140-176 F), with no rinsing agent and no tumble drying.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It works with the ReTurn platform it is mounted on and nothing else.
- The 330 lbs (150 kg) limit covers the user and anything carried.
- It is not a sling; never use it to lift or move a person.
How does it compare?
- Savaria ReTurn7500i transfer platform: the unit the strap mounts on.
- ReTurn leg support, article 7323: braces the lower legs.
- ReTurn carry bag, item 0954: carries the platform.
Frequently asked questions
Does the heel strap come with the ReTurn platform?
No. Item 7250 is sold on its own; the platform, ReTurnBelt and bag are separate.
Is there one strap for each foot?
No. A single strap runs behind both heels and clasps on each side.
Does it help during standing training?
Yes. It steadies the heels during sit-to-stand and standing training while the user does the work.
