Will it fit?
The medium chart lists about 40 in, 57.5 in, 34.5 in, 23 in, 10 in and 4 in across its labelled columns. They are approximate within 1 inch.
How is it applied?
- From a seated position, slide the sling down the back with the smooth side inward and tuck the curve under the buttocks. Bring the leg straps through the inside loops.
- From a lying position, roll the person, lay the sling lengthwise, roll back, pull it flat and bring the loops up between the thighs.
- The legs can be in the divided crossover or the closed configuration.
- Attach the leg and back straps to the carry bar. The longest leg loops and shortest back loops give a vertical lift; the reverse gives an inclined lift.
- Raise the bar and check that every strap is attached before the transfer.
Use and care
- Single patient use only. Do not wash.
- Check for fraying, cuts and tears before each use.
- Do not exceed the 625 lb (284 kg) safe working load.
- Only trained people operate the lift.

Handicare warrants the disposable Universal sling with head support, medium pack 547060-10, supplied new, against failure caused by defects in material or workmanship. This warranty does not limit your statutory rights.
- Sling: 1 year from installation or 18 months from manufacture, whichever is shorter.
- Handicare's liability is limited to replacing defective parts.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, damage by natural forces, neglect or misuse, and deliberate damage.
- Void if anyone not authorized by Handicare works on the equipment.
