Description
The Harmony Relax XC is a 10" (25 cm) foam mattress for a person up to 600 lbs (272 kg), in Twin XL (RELAX-XC-TXL), Full XL (RELAX-XC-FLXL) or Queen (RELAX-XC-QN).
What does it do and how does it work?
- The top is 2" (5 cm) of CoolGel Flex foam, a firm layer for rolling and for getting in and out of bed.
- The base is 8" (20 cm) of high-capacity foam so a heavier person does not sink through to the deck.
- There is no pump. A power cut does not deflate it. The cover comes off and can be washed.
- Warranty is 2 years.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- Choose it for a person within 600 lbs (272 kg), including on a Harmony Hi-Low bed.
- A king, a split king, or a Full about 75" long is not an XC size.
- Choose alternating pressure when the care team wants air cells. A nurse, doctor or therapist decides if foam is enough.
Will it fit?
- Twin XL is 38" x 79.5" (97 x 202 cm). Full XL is 53" x 79.5" (135 x 202 cm). Queen is 59" x 79.5" (150 x 202 cm). Each one is 10" (25 cm) thick.
- Hi-Low decks are 38" x 80", 53" x 75", 53" x 80" and 59" x 80". XC is about 0.5" shorter than an 80" deck. The 53" x 75" deck is not an XC size.
- The Hi-Low lifts 880 lbs (399 kg). This mattress stops at 600 lbs (272 kg). Use the lower rating.
- Health Canada recommends gaps under 120 mm (4 3/4 in) within the rail and between the rail and the mattress, and under 60 mm (2 3/8 in) at the rail ends. Check the height against the rails.
- Confirm the size before you order. A mattress that has touched skin cannot be returned. See the return policy.
Using it day to day
- Lay it flat on the deck. Wash the cover off the mattress, then put it back dry.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- It pairs with the Hi-Low bed. See bariatric beds.

Which version should I choose?
- Twin XL (RELAX-XC-TXL) is about 38" wide. Full XL (RELAX-XC-FLXL) is about 53" wide and about 80" long, not 75". Queen (RELAX-XC-QN) is about 59" wide.
How does it compare?

Frequently asked questions
Does 600 lbs replace the bed's lift rating?
No. If the bed's published lift rating is under 600 lbs (272 kg), that lower number is the one that counts.
Will it fit a 75 inch Full deck?
No. Every Relax XC is 79.5" (202 cm) long. A 53" x 75" deck is a different Harmony size.
Are Firm and Plush XC options?
No. Firm and Plush belong to the 350 lb Relax foam. The XC is one build in three sizes.
