HPL450-EL is the Hoyer HPL450 with powered legs. Joerns rates the series at 450 lb (204 kg). HPL450-ML is the same series with a foot pedal. This order is the powered-base code. The sling is separate.
Which code is which?
- HPL450-EL opens the legs from the hand control. The powered-base total on the sheet is 92.5 lb (42.0 kg).
- HPL450-ML uses a foot pedal. That total is 92.0 lb (41.7 kg). It is not included when you order the EL.
- A scale is optional on the sheet. It is not part of either base code unless you add it.
Will the base fit the room?
- Closed outside width is 25.0 in (660 mm). Open outside width is 48.4 in (1,250 mm).
- Open inside width is 44.9 in (1,140 mm). Leg height is 3.9 in (100 mm).
- Overall length is 51.1 in (1,300 mm). Overall height runs from 54.3 in (1,380 mm) to 79.8 in (2,027 mm).
Which sling fits?
It has a 6-point cradle. Joerns lists the HPL450 with its standard loop slings. Those slings are rated 500 lb, so on this lift the 450 lb lift limit is the lower one. See the Hoyer full-back sling, the Quick Fit standard and the Quick Fit deluxe. Tell us the size before you order.
Battery
It comes with two batteries and an off-board charger. Joerns says the lift is tested to EN ISO 10535.
Frequently asked questions
Is HPL450-EL the foot-pedal model?
No. EL is the powered base. ML is the foot pedal. The working load is 450 lb on both.
What is the warranty in years?
Joerns' Classics warranty names other lifts, not the HPL450. Ask us for the term before you order.
Does the 500 lb sling raise the lift limit?
No. The lower rating applies. On this lift that is 450 lb, even when the sling label says 500 lb.
