The Hoyer Access padded loop sling, item NA1603, is the medium size. It is a toileting and hygiene sling for a Hoyer loop lift, with a wide opening under the seat.
What does it do and how does it work?
It supports the back and legs while leaving the area under the seat open for toileting and hygiene care.
- The padded back and leg sections carry the person; the wide opening runs under the seat.
- Four loop straps hang on a Hoyer loop spreader bar.
- It is rated 500 lb (227 kg) and tested to EN ISO 10535.
- The binding colour marks the size, so the medium is yellow.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a person who needs a toileting or hygiene transfer with a Hoyer loop lift.
- It is not the Access sling with head support; that is a different range.
- It does not fit a clip cradle. The Presence lift can ship with a loop bar or a clip cradle, so tell us which one you have.
- A clinician assesses the person and the sling fit before the first use.
Which size?
The range runs from extra small to extra large, each with its own item number.
- Extra small NA1600, brown. Small NA1601, red. Medium NA1603, yellow. Large NA1606, green. Extra large NA1608, blue.
- Ordering the medium does not send another size.
- The weight bars beside each size are a guide, not a limit. A clinician assesses the fit.
Which lift does it fit?
It hangs on a loop spreader bar on these Hoyer lifts: Advance, HPL700, Elara, HPL450, Presence, Stature and HPL500.
- Tell us the lift model and which bar is on it, and we confirm the match before you order.
- The lift and the bar are separate from the sling.
Care and limits
Wash the sling at up to 185 F (85 C) and check the fabric and stitching before each use.
- Discard a frayed, torn or bleached sling.
- The loop bar is required; a clip cradle will not take these straps.
- The 500 lb (227 kg) rating and the lift's rating both apply; never exceed the lower one.
How does it compare?
- Hoyer Pro full-back sling is a full-body loop sling for a transfer that is not for toileting.
- The Access sling with head support is the version with head support, in a different code range.

Frequently asked questions
Is NA1603 the small?
No. NA1603 is the medium, yellow. Small is NA1601 and extra small is NA1600.
Is this the head-support Access sling?
No. The Access sling with head support (NA1626 to NA1629) is a different sling.
Can it hang on a clip cradle?
No. It has loop straps for a Hoyer loop bar. A clip cradle will not hold them.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer Access padded loop sling, medium NA1603, a Hoyer Pro sling, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 12 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
