The Joerns Hoyer bariatric Quickfit is a polyester divided-leg sling for passive lifts, in four sizes from medium to XXL, each rated 850 lbs (386 kg).
Which lifts does it fit?
- It hangs from a bariatric loop spreader bar and fits the Hoyer Calibre and HPL700.
- Hoyer slings are not designed to fit another maker's lift.
- The sling and lift must both be rated for the person's weight, and the maker must approve the pairing.
- Tell us your lift model and bar and we confirm the fit before you order.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For a passive lift transfer of a bariatric patient.
- The general-purpose Quickfit cut is designed to suit about 85% of clients.
- It is not a sit-to-stand or walking sling.
- A clinician assesses the person: bariatric body shapes vary, so weight alone is a poor size guide.
Which size?
- Medium NA1009P, yellow with white stripes.
- Large NA1010P, green with white stripes.
- Extra large NA1011P, blue with white stripes.
- XXL NA1012P, black with white stripes.
- The colour stripe on the binding marks the size.
How is it fitted?
- The rule is long in the leg, short in the shoulder.
- From a seated position, attach the leg straps at the longest loop on the front hooks, then the penultimate loop.
- Short shoulder loops keep the person upright; longer loops recline them more.
- Do not re-position the person by pulling on the sling loops.
- The divided legs leave a commode aperture for toileting access.
Care and checks
- Wash at no more than 185 F (85 C); no bleach, no dry cleaning, cool tumble or air dry.
- Check the sling and stitching before each use; discard a bleached, torn, cut, frayed or broken sling.
What are its limits?
- Use it with passive lifts only.
- Every size is rated 850 lbs (386 kg); the lowest-rated part of the lift, bar and sling set sets the system limit.
- Support the head at all times; the sling has no head panel.
How does it compare?

Can I use it on a standard Hoyer bar?
No. It needs a bariatric loop bar; it fits the Calibre and HPL700.
Does it have head support?
No head panel. Support the person's head at all times during the transfer.
Is the sling padded?
The sling is polyester; the maker offers a fleece lining for extra comfort. Tell us if you need the lined version.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer bariatric Quickfit sling (NA1009P to NA1012P), a Hoyer Pro sling, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 12 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
