The Invacare Reliant 350 stand-up lift, model RPS350-1 with manual legs or RPS350-2 with a powered base, is a 350 lb (159 kg) stand assist lift. It helps a cooperative, partially weight-bearing person rise and transfer.
What does it do and how does it work?
It supports the person while they stand and turn.
- A padded, height-adjustable knee pad and a large non-slip footplate steady the legs.
- The sling attaches at multiple points, and the legs open manually on RPS350-1 or with power on RPS350-2.
- Two detachable 24 V batteries and an off-board charger are supplied; the battery cannot be charged on the lift.
- An emergency stop and electrical and manual emergency lowering are fitted; one charge gives 100 to 200 lifts.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a person who can take some weight and cooperate with a standing transfer.
- A fully dependent person needs a floor lift and sling instead.
- It is a transfer aid, not a transport device; do not move the person across a building in it.
- A therapist decides whether a stand assist lift or a full floor lift is right.
Will it fit?
The base is 35.4 in (900 mm) long and 26.0 in (660 mm) wide inside when closed, opening to 37.0 in (940 mm). The legs clear 4.5 in (110 mm).
- The lift height runs from 40.2 to 65.7 in (1,020 to 1,670 mm).
- The castors are 3 in (76 mm) at the front and 5 in (127 mm) at the rear, with brakes at the rear.
- Check the under-bed clearance and doorway first.
Which sling fits?
Invacare lists the R130 and R131 standing slings and the R134 and R136 transfer slings for both model codes.
- Only Invacare slings and accessories should be used on the lift.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It is a stand assist lift for a cooperative person, not a dependent lift.
- Do not exceed the 350 lb (159 kg) rating or the lift's other limits.
- Charge the battery off the lift, and keep the charger with it.
- Check the sling, straps and lift before each use; a damaged part must be replaced.

Frequently asked questions
Are RPS350-1 and RPS350-2 the same lift?
They share the lift but differ in the legs: RPS350-1 is manual and RPS350-2 is powered.
Can it carry someone down a corridor?
No. It is a transfer aid, not a transport device.
Is a sling included?
No. Choose a standing or transfer sling from the Invacare chart with your clinician.
Does the battery charge on the lift?
No. The battery is detachable and charges off the lift with the supplied charger.
Funding help for a patient lift in Ontario
March of Dimes Canada's Home and Vehicle Modification Program may consider floor patient lifts for eligible Ontario residents; it is income-tested, needs an occupational therapist's assessment and must approve the purchase first.
WSIB may consider a lift for a worker whose workplace injury requires one, and Veterans Affairs Canada may cover transfer and lift devices for eligible Veterans with a prescription.

Invacare warrants the Reliant 350 stand-up lift (RPS350-2) to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship, from the date of purchase.
- Lift: 3 years.
- Electric components: 1 year.
- Invacare repairs or replaces with new or refurbished parts at its option; labour and shipping are not included.
- Excludes negligence, accident, improper operation, maintenance or storage, unauthorized parts or modifications, normal wear, and units with the serial number removed.
- Warranty service starts with the dealer who sold the lift.
