Description

The Magic Mobility Frontier V6 is built for grass, gravel and trails, with low-pressure tyres and a 22.8 in (57.9 cm) turning circle.

What does it do and how does it work?

  • Mid-wheel drive: low-pressure tyres, a 120 mm (4.7 in) obstacle, 90 mm (3.5 in) clearance and a 10 km/h top speed.
  • Ride: the low-pressure tyres smooth gravel, roots and uneven ground.
  • Range: an estimated 35 km (22 miles) on two 70 Ah batteries.
  • Seating: Rehab 12-24 in wide by 12-22 in deep, or Comfort 15.9-24 in by 15.9-22 in; the seat sits 17.1 in (435 mm) off the floor and the Comfort back adjusts 16.9-25 in.
  • Transfer: an optional front seat tilt leans the seat 8 degrees forward for an independent frontal transfer.
  • Options and travel: 12 in power elevation, an LED kit and a Hybrid wheel package that narrows the chair to 25 in; it is crash tested to ISO 7176-19.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

  • It suits a rider who leaves the pavement for a farm, a cottage lot or a trail.
  • It suits a rider who transfers from the front, with the optional seat tilt.
  • Choose a compact chair if doorways under 25 in are the limit, or a folding chair for a car boot.

Will it fit?

  • Rider: 400 lbs (182 kg), or 350 lbs (160 kg) with tilt or elevate; seat 12-24 in wide by 12-22 in deep on the Rehab, 15.9-24 in by 15.9-22 in on the Comfort.
  • Base: 27.9 in (710 mm) wide, or 25 in with the Hybrid package; 41.3 in (105 cm) long without the footrest.
  • Weight: from 370 lbs (168 kg), so plan for a lift or a ramp van.
  • Ground: a 22.8 in (57.9 cm) turning radius, 90 mm clearance and a 120 mm obstacle.

Using it day to day

  • Release the motors with the levers at the front of each drive wheel when the chair must be pushed.
  • Charge with the supplied off-board charger; keep the charging area dry.
  • Secure the chair by its labelled tie-down points for vehicle travel.
  • Keep it out of water: it is splash resistant, not waterproof, and must never be driven through water or rivers.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

  • Stay within 400 lbs (182 kg), or 350 lbs (160 kg) with power tilt or elevate.
  • Never drive through water or into rivers, creeks or the sea.
  • The 35 km range is an estimate and falls with terrain.
  • Warranty: frame, bogie, trailing arms and forks 5 years; full chair 12 months.

Which version should I choose?

  • Seating: Rehab or Comfort seat, with an optional Rehab Magic backrest.
  • Options: 12 in power seat elevation, LED lighting kit and the Hybrid wheel package.
  • Colours: royal blue, red, mossy green or black shrouds over a black base.

Warranty

Warranty details

Magic Mobility warrants the Frontier V6 to its first owner, as registered with Magic Mobility or an authorized agent. Cover starts when the chair is first received, or 30 days after it ships from Magic Mobility, whichever comes first.

  • Frame, bogie and trailing arms, and forks: 5 years from first consumer purchase, against defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Whole chair: 12 months.
  • Magic Mobility repairs or replaces faulty items at its discretion. Replaced parts are covered only for the rest of the original period.
  • Not transferable. Installation or repairs by anyone other than an authorized agent, or non-Magic Mobility parts, can void it.
  • Excludes wear and tear (tires, batteries, upholstery, scratches), misuse, accidents including collision, fire and theft, alterations or tampering, battery decline from poor storage or deep discharge, and submersion or corrosive liquids such as salt water.
