The 14060 is the 60-inch member of Drive's four-size bariatric Med-Aire Plus line. Its 1000 lb limit applies to this width, not every member of the family.

- The extra six inches over the 54-inch model add width, not a higher mattress weight limit.
How does it work?
The digital unit offers alternating cycles of 10, 15, 20 or 25 minutes, a static mode and low air loss.

What happens if power or pressure is lost?
- The cell-on-cell structure supports up to 24 hours without power.
- Powered alternation and low air loss still stop without electricity.
- Follow the person's outage and repositioning plan; the 24-hour statement is not a promise of continued therapy.
What should you compare?
- The 54-inch 14054 has the same 1000 lb mattress rating on a narrower deck.
- The 48-inch 14048 is narrower still but rated 750 lbs.

Is the digital pump included?
Yes. The full 14060 system includes a control unit for alternating and low air loss modes. A mattress-only service component has a different suffix, and the bed frame is separate.
What should happen during an outage?
Powered air movement stops. The cell-on-cell support can last up to 24 hours, but the person still needs the care team's outage and skin-check plan.
Can it run without alternation?
The controller has a static selection along with four alternating cycle choices.

Warranty details
Drive Medical warrants the Med-Aire Plus 10 inch bariatric alternating pressure and low air loss mattress system (14060, 60 inch) to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for 18 months, for the original consumer purchaser.
- Control unit (14030XP): 18 months.
- Mattress: 18 months.
- Excludes failure from owner misuse or negligence, and normal wear and tear.
- Non-durable parts that wear with use and need periodic replacement are not covered.
