Medline MedLite is a full-electric home care bed, model MDR107003L, with a 36 by 80 inch sleep surface and a 450 lb (204 kg) total load.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Three motors raise and lower the head, the foot and the bed height.
- The pendant has head up and down, foot up and down, and bed up and down buttons.
- The head section raises to about 70 degrees and the knee section to about 35 degrees.
- The spring deck is 34.5 inches (87.6 cm) wide and 80 inches (203 cm) long; the bed is 35.75 inches (90.8 cm) wide and 89 inches (226 cm) long overall.
- Four casters, two of them locking, move and hold the bed.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits an adult at home who needs powered head, foot and height adjustment, with a caregiver nearby.
- It is not the low-bed variant, MDR107003LO.
- It is not for a person, mattress and accessories that add up to more than 450 lb (204 kg).
Will it fit?
- The spring deck adjusts from 15 to 23 inches (38 to 58 cm) above the floor.
- The bed is 89 inches (226 cm) long and 35.75 inches (90.8 cm) wide overall; measure the room, doorway and turns.
- Use a 36 by 80 inch mattress made or approved by Medline.
- Use only authorized Medline rails on this frame.
Using it day to day
- Pause briefly between pendant adjustments, and press one button at a time.
- Lock the two locking casters before a transfer.
- An emergency crank in the spring deck raises and lowers the height if the power fails.
- An emergency battery box lowers the head and foot during an outage; it takes two 9V batteries, which are not included.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- The 450 lb (204 kg) limit covers the occupant, the mattress and the accessories together.
- Medline approves only its own rails and mattresses for this frame; a different size or density can entrap.
- The mechanics and electronics are covered for 5 years, and the frame and welds for the life of the bed. Casters are not covered.
- Health Canada recall RA-81440 (24 December 2025) includes MDR107003L for electrical safety and for non-Medline accessories. Contact Medline with the bed's serial number for the notice.
What comes in the box?
- Two boxes: the head board, head spring, four casters, wrench and emergency crank in one.
- The foot spring with motors, junction box and cord, pendant, foot board, drive shaft and battery box in the other.
- The mattress and the rail pair are chosen with the order.

No. Use authorized Medline rails; other rail sizes and mattress depths can entrap.

Medline warrants the MedLite home care bed to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship, and repairs or replaces the bed at its option.
- Mechanics and electronics: 5 years.
- Welds and frame: life of the bed.
- Excludes failure from owner misuse or negligence, and normal wear and tear.
- Excludes non-durable parts that wear and need replacement, such as casters.
