The PreserveTech AquaChair RTL12A004-WH is a stationary shower commode with an in-seat bidet and a handheld shower spray, for bathing without standing.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Bidet: front and rear cleansing, with the front spray gentler, plus a nozzle-cleansing control.
- Hand spray: 80 in (203 cm) hose on an armrest holder for washing hard-to-reach areas.
- Commode: bucket and cover included; the bidet and bucket cannot be used together.
- Height: push-button legs with numbered positions; set all four the same.
- Frame: aluminium and polypropylene, 10.89 lbs (4.9 kg), rated 350 lbs (159 kg), on non-skid tips.
- Treated backrest, seat and tips resist stains and odours from bacteria, mould and mildew, not infection.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits someone who can bathe seated and wants front and rear washing without standing, in the shower or beside the bed. Choose a wheeled commode if it must move, a transfer bench for a tub edge, or a plain shower chair.
Will it fit?
- Shower outlet: the adapter and o-ring fit between the wall outlet and your shower head; the 9 ft (2.7 m) hose reaches the chair.
- Floor: all four non-skid tips must touch the floor at once; in a tub they must not touch the tub walls.
- Space: 17.8 in (45 cm) between the arms; measure the shower opening.
- It will not fit every shower or tub; a free home assessment can check the entry.
Using it day to day
- Assembly: legs into the seat with the four C clips, back and arms click into place.
- Height: press each leg button into the matching numbered hole, all four at the same height.
- Water: disconnect the shower head, fit the adapter, run the 9 ft hose to the bidet panel, reattach the head, and clip the spray on.
- Controls: one knob for the shower spray and one for the bidet, with female, rear and nozzle cleansing.
- Clean with non-abrasive detergent and warm water, then rinse and wipe dry.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- 350 lbs (159 kg); do not stand on the chair, and keep weight centred.
- No casters: it is stationary, not a transport chair.
- Test the water pressure before each use; the first temperature depends on the supply.
- The anti-microbial treatment is not infection protection.
Which version should I choose?
The white RTL12A004-WH is the chair. The RTL12A004-TR transfer accessory is separate and not in the carton.
How does it compare?

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the bidet and the commode bucket together?
No. Move the bidet to the left or right housing for commode use.
Is there a power cord or battery?
No. It runs from the shower water supply only, with no battery or power cord.
Can I use it in a bathtub?
Yes, if all four tips sit on the tub floor and none touch the tub walls.

Drive Medical warrants the PreserveTech AquaChair Bathing System with Bidet (RTL12A004-WH) to be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one year from the date of purchase.
- Term: 1 year, limited; Drive replaces defective products or parts at its option, when installed and used as instructed.
- Covers the original consumer purchaser only.
- Excludes shipping damage, fire, flood and other causes beyond Drive's control, sediment or foreign matter in the water, improper installation, removal, repair, modification or maintenance (including damage from cleaning products), and normal wear and tear.
