Description
The Pride Go Chair MED separates into four pieces for a car and has a medium-back memory foam seat. It carries up to 300 lb (136 kg) and turns in 25.5 in.
Who does the MED suit?
- A rider within 300 lb who needs a travel chair and has help lifting the pieces.
- A rider who wants a medium back with memory foam.
- The original Go Chair has a lighter folding seat; the MED is a different model.
What must fit?
- The power base is 23 in wide and turns within 25.5 in. Armrests add width, so measure with the chosen setting.
- The seat is 18 or 20 in wide by 18 in deep, sets 22-23 in off the ground in two positions.
- Assembled, it is about 136 lb with the 18 in seat or 143 lb with the 20 in seat, batteries in.
- The seat is the heaviest piece at 37 lb or 44 lb with the joystick; plan to lift that, not 36 lb.
How does it come apart?
- Power off, set drive mode, unplug the controller, lift the seat straight up, lift the battery box out by its handle and tilt it forward, then release the frame lever to split the base.
- To reassemble, hook the front section over the rear lower frame tube until it locks, then refit the battery, seat and controller.
- The controller fits either armrest.
How does it drive?
- Rear-wheel drive on 9 in solid drive wheels, 6 in front casters with curb-assist wheels, and 2 in rear anti-tips.
- Top speed is 6 km/h (3.8 mph) from a 40 amp PG GC3 controller, with regenerative braking and a disc park brake.
- Range is up to 19.5 km (12.1 miles) at 200 lb, or 15.7 km (9.8 miles) at 300 lb; cold and battery age reduce it.
- It climbs 6 degrees and a 1.5 in (40 mm) obstacle, with 1.75 in (45 mm) clearance at the motor.
Battery and charging
- Two 12 V 20 Ah sealed hybrid gel batteries sit in one removable box. The 2 amp off-board charger works in the chair or off it.
- Charge 8-14 hours after a day of use. If used once a week or less, charge 12-14 hours weekly and 48 hours monthly.
- Plug straight into a wall outlet, without an extension lead, and never charge a frozen battery; warm it first.
- It is rated IPX4 for splashing water. If wet, towel it dry and leave it 12 hours in a warm, dry place; never hose it off.
Using it safely
- The lap belt is not a vehicle seat belt, and the chair is not a vehicle seat unless a WTORS and ISO 7176-19 securement system are used; transfer to a vehicle seat for travel.
- Use freewheel only on level ground; the brakes are disengaged in freewheel.
- Keep it between -8 C and 50 C (18 F to 122 F), store it dry, and have it serviced yearly if used daily.

Yes. Use the matching charger and follow the instructions for the removable box.
Can the rider stay seated during car travel?
No occupied-transit approval is stated; transfer to a vehicle seat and secure the empty chair.
Can the MED climb a high curb?
Obstacle clearance is up to 1.5 in. Check the route and avoid high curbs.

Warranty
Warranty details
Pride Mobility warrants the Go Chair MED to the original purchaser from the date of purchase, and repairs or replaces parts that an authorized Pride representative finds defective in material or workmanship.
- Main frame: 5 years.
- Electronics (controller, joystick and charger), drivetrain and drive motors, seat framing, wiring, electronic brake function, forks, bearings and bushings: 2 years in Canada.
- Pride batteries: 13 months.
- Warranty service is done by an authorized Pride provider. Labour, service calls and shipping are not covered unless Pride approves them in advance.
- Excludes wear items (plastic shrouds, motor brushes, upholstery and seating, brake pads, tires and tubes, fuses and bulbs), abuse, misuse, neglect, contamination, battery leakage, commercial use, improper operation, maintenance or storage, and non-Pride parts.
