Description
The Quantum 4Front 2 is a front-wheel-drive complex rehab power base, made to order.
Who does the 4Front 2 suit?
- A daily user who wants front drive for kerbs, ramps and rougher ground.
- Someone whose seating may grow into tilt, recline or a 10 in lift.
- Not a car-trunk chair: it is rigid; see folding power chairs.
How does it drive and handle?
- Two 4-pole motors drive 14 in front wheels with 9 in rear casters.
- Smart Traction Control corrects the course; SRS uses four coil-over shocks.
- Top speed 10 km/h, or 5.6 raised; 25.9 in turning radius, 39.9 in long, 24.2 in wide (plus 1.5 on knobby tires).
- It is rated for a 7.5 degree slope, an 85 mm obstacle and 3.14 in of clearance.
- Regenerative braking with a disc park brake; IPX4. Grass and packed soil suit it, loose gravel and sand do not.
Which seating fits?
- TRU-Balance 3 is static, power tilt, or lift and tilt, 12 to 22 in.
- TRU-Balance 4 adds 10, 20 or 30 degree anterior tilt and memory positions.
- Flex is 15 to 22 in wide and 15 to 20 deep; the captain's seat 16 to 22.
- Seat height 15.2-17.25 static, 17.5-19.5 tilt, 17.75-19.75 lift and tilt.
Can the seat rise?
- An optional 10 in iLevel lift raises the seat for transfers, reach and conversation.
- It drives at 5.6 km/h raised, on level surfaces, never tied down.
Battery and range
- Two 12 V batteries: Group 24 73 Ah standard, Group 34 60 Ah optional.
- Quantum calculates 26.3 km on Group 24, 28 km on Group 34 at full load; cold and hills reduce that.
- An 8 A off-board charger takes 8 to 14 hours; never charge a frozen battery.
Can it travel in a vehicle?
- Tie-down points secure the empty chair only.
- Occupied travel needs WC19 and a compliant restraint system; otherwise transfer.
Which colours and options are there?
- 14 shroud colours plus Faded Glory and Military Digital Camo.
- Knobby tires, a backup camera and vent trays.
