Description

The Quantum Q6 Edge HD is a heavy-duty mid-wheel rehab base for a larger rider and prescribed seating.

Who does the Edge HD suit?

  • A rider needing up to 450 lb (204 kg) or wider seating.
  • Choosing iLevel lowers the limit to 400 lb (181 kg) and caps seat width at 24 in.
  • Check the seating rating too.

Will it fit the home?

  • The base is 26.25 in wide and turns within 19.75 in; measure with seating and armrests fitted.
  • Static and power tilt seating reach 32 in wide; lift and tilt stops at 24 in.
  • The base is 35.6 in long and weighs 143.5 lb before batteries and seat.

How does it drive?

  • Two 4-pole motors drive 14 in run-flat mid-wheels, with 6 in casters front and rear.
  • Top speed 7.5 km/h, or 5.6 with iLevel raised; rated slope 6 degrees.
  • It clears 3.5 in with 3 in of frame clearance, is IPX4 and brakes regeneratively with a disc park brake.

Which seating fits?

  • Captain's seat, static seating and TRU-Balance 3 HD power tilt or recline.
  • Static and tilt seats run 20 to 32 in wide and 20 to 25 deep.

Can the seat rise?

  • Optional iLevel lifts the seat 10 in and drives at up to 5.6 km/h while raised.
  • Raise it only on level floors or flat, hard pavement.
  • Never on a slope, gravel, rough ground, a curb, or while tied down.

Battery and charging

  • Two 12 V Group 24 batteries, AGM or gel, about 52 lb each.
  • An 8 A off-board charger takes 8 to 14 hours.
  • Published range figures differ, so we confirm the range for your build.

Can it travel in a vehicle?

  • Occupied travel needs WC19 and compliant occupant restraints.
  • Standard tie-down points secure the empty chair.

Which colours are there?

  • Ten colours, including Back in Black, Night Train and Midnight Blue.
  • Run-flat wheels standard; pneumatic or knobby optional.
