Description
The Quickie QS5 X is Sunrise Medical's folding ultralight wheelchair: a 7000 series aluminium frame with an ovalized four-arm crossbrace, from 22.3 lbs (10.1 kg) on the swing away frame.
Who is the QS5 X for?
It suits a rider who needs a chair that folds for a car but still rolls with little effort. The frame carries up to 300 lbs (136 kg), and it is rated for use in a vehicle with the transit system fitted.
Which seat size do I order?
Seat width and depth each run 13" to 20". Frame angle, inset and centre of gravity are set on the order form. Measure the seated hip width and the hips to the back of the knee, or book a free home assessment.
How does it fold, and how heavy is it to lift?
The crossbrace folds the frame side to side, and FreeFold geometry cuts the force of each fold. Fold-n-Lock holds the chair closed while you lift it. With the wheels, armrests and footrests off, the chair starts at 16.5 lbs (7.5 kg).
How is it set up and adjusted?
The back adjusts from 80 to 105 degrees, the rear axle preset moves the centre of gravity 1" to 3", and the caster link adjusts three ways for straight tracking. Armrests are padded swing away, height adjustable or flip back.
Which options, colours and accessories are there?
Choose 24 frame colours, 4 caster fork and 4 wheel colours. Rear wheels run 20" to 26". JAY cushions and backs fit the frame.
