Description
The R82 Rabbit Up by Etac is a paediatric standing frame in four sizes. Optional quick-release driving wheels turn it into a mobile stander a child can push.
What does it do and how does it work?
The frame holds a child upright; chest, hip and foot supports are added where needed.
- The centre bar adjusts from 0 to 30 degrees, and the foot plate from 15 degrees down to -10 degrees.
- Driving wheels come in 22, 24, 26, 29, 32 or 36 in sizes and have quick release.
- Camber is 8, 6, 6 or 4 degrees by size, adjustable by 3 or 6 degrees.
- Each size has its own colour: yellow, blue, anthracite grey or silver.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It is for a child who needs postural support to stand at home, school or in care. Choose a prone or supine stander if the child cannot be upright, or a gait trainer for stepping.
Will it fit?
Size the frame by the child's floor-to-armpit height and weight.
- Size 1: 19.75 to 29.25 in (50 to 74 cm), up to 88.1 lb (40 kg).
- Size 2: 29.5 to 42.5 in (75 to 108 cm), up to 110.2 lb (50 kg).
- Size 3: 33.75 to 46.75 in (83 to 119 cm), up to 132.2 lb (60 kg).
- Size 4: 37.75 to 56 in (96 to 142 cm), up to 154.3 lb (70 kg).
- Width is 20.25 to 23.5 in (51.5 to 60 cm) without wheels, or 25 to 28.75 in (63.5 to 73 cm) with them.
Using it day to day
Set the bar and foot plate angles and tighten every knob before the child is placed in the frame. Put the brakes on and check the wheels, supports and buckles.
With driving wheels, a child who can push a rim can move the frame. Outdoors, use only even, level, hard ground, never wet areas.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
Use at least a support at the top of the pelvis or higher. Etac's chest support (861701 to 861704), back support 861401, abdominal support 861411 and hip supports are separate items.
Add trays, leg and foot supports, vests, belts and the 10 cm extension bar 172179-10 for pronounced hip flexion. Never leave the child unattended, and never carry the frame occupied in a motor vehicle.

Choose a stander for standing practice, or a mobile stander with driving wheels. Then choose wheel size, camber, pushrims and supports.

Frequently asked questions
Can my child move it alone?
Only with the driving wheels. A child who can push a rim can roll it; otherwise a caregiver moves it on its castors.
Can my child stay in the frame in the car?
No. The frame must not be occupied in a motor vehicle; move the child to a vehicle seat and stow the frame.
Can I change the angle with my child in the frame?
No. Set the angles and tighten every knob before the child is placed in the frame.

Etac warrants the R82 Rabbit Up standing frame against defects in workmanship and materials. Etac may inspect a claimed product and decides whether to repair or replace it.
- Workmanship and materials: 2 years.
- Breakage of the metal frame caused by weld defects: 5 years.
- Valid only in the country of purchase, for a product identified by its serial or lot number.
- Excludes accidental damage, misuse, neglect, and wear items such as tyres and upholstery.
- Void if non-original parts or accessories are used, or if servicing, maintenance, repair or changes do not follow the user guide.
