Savaria's High Easy clip sling, item M921515, is a reusable polyester full-body sling with built-in head support for clip-bar lifts.

What does it do and how does it work?

It supports the torso and head during a bed or chair transfer.

• A padded headrest supports the head, and its stiffeners pull out for cleaning.
• Divided, padded leg sections pass under each thigh and meet at a modesty loop.
• D-anserclip clips click onto the studs of a clip-style spreader bar.
• A small seat aperture gives access for hygiene care.
• Polyester is reusable for everyday transfers.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

It suits a person with limited head, trunk or hip control.

• Choose a loop sling for a loop-style carry bar; clips do not fit one.
• For toileting, a toileting sling has a larger opening.

Will it fit?

Six sizes cover hip measurements from 30 in (76 cm) to 63 in (160 cm).

• XS fits 30-34 in (76-86 cm), M fits 38-42.5 in (96-108 cm), and XXL fits 56.75-63 in (144-160 cm).
• The lift needs a stud-type spreader bar, and a loop bar will not take the clips.
• A risk assessment sets the size; too large a sling can let the person slip through the aperture.

Using it day to day

Fit it before the lift takes weight.

• In a chair, keep the label out, slide it down the back and thread the right leg strap through the modesty loop.
• In bed, fold it label-in, roll the person, place the fold at the spine and pull the other half through.
• Clip the legs to the lower studs, then the shoulders; each clicks when seated.
• Wash at 203 F (95 C) or less with non-biological detergent, tumble dry at 50 C (122 F) or less, and do not iron; check straps, fabric and label before each use.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

The sling holds 600 lb (272 kg), and the lift's own rating still applies.

• Use clips only on a stud bar, and never hang a loop sling on one.
• Never lift from a lying position without head support; this sling has it.
• The disposable M921512 is single-patient and comes off if it gets wet.
