Description
The Savaria Monarch carry bar torsion spring, order M920177, keeps the carry bar level when there is no weight on it, so the sling can be offered up with one hand. The carry bar is the bar the sling hangs from.
The spring works against the load the bar takes, so it is made for the bar it sits in. A tired or broken spring lets the bar hang to one side, and the sling then sits crooked under the user.
