Description
The Silvalea Repositioning Sheet, mesh version M921506, is a large bed sheet with reinforced tapes along the sides for repositioning, lateral transfers and pressure management.
What does it do and how does it work?
It lies under the person on the bed, and the carer uses the side tapes to move or turn them.
- The reinforced tapes run along both sides of the sheet.
- The lateral application uses a hoist, and the roll application turns the person in place.
- It can be part of the bed make-up when used with a draw sheet.
- The generous cut suits a wide range of body sizes.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a person who needs frequent repositioning, lateral transfers or help with pressure management.
- It supports pressure management but does not replace a pressure-relief mattress.

It comes in one size, 132 by 247 cm (52 by 97 in).

Using it day to day
Position the sheet under the person with the tapes at both sides, then make the move with the hoist or by rolling.
- Check the tapes for fraying and the material for holes before each use.
- Check the label is legible and the sling is compatible with the hoist.
- Stay within the lower of the sling and hoist safe working loads.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
Wash at 95 C (203 F) or less with a non-biological detergent, and tumble dry on low at 50 C (122 F) or less.
- Close all hook-and-loop fastenings before washing, and do not iron.
- Remove the sheet from use if the tapes, fabric or label are damaged.
- Store it dry, away from convector heaters and steam pipes.
