Description
Ki Mobility Axiom Hardware is the mounting side of the Axiom range: brackets, clamps and receivers that hold a support on a wheelchair.
What does it do and how does it work?
It holds a positioning support in the position a therapist chooses, in eight mounting groups.
- Seat and seat/back hardware attach mounts to the seat frame or back canes.
- Lateral pelvic/thigh, trunk, medial thigh and knee adductor mounts carry supports at the hip, trunk, thigh and knee.
- The drop seat base fits 12 to 20 inch (30 to 51 cm) frames.
- Headrest pads: Contour, Tri-Pad, Comfort Soft, Comfort Soft Adjustable and Tri-Soft. Foam is 1.75 in (4.4 cm), or 0.5 in (1.3 cm) on the Tri-Pad.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It is for an owner or therapist who knows the support and needs the mount.
- Pads, belts and calf panels come from the Axiom softgoods range.
Will it fit?
Each mount fits a specific frame, back cane or hardware; none is universal.
- For a drop seat base, match the frame width and check the crossbar cut-out.
- For headrest pads, choose by size and foam thickness.
- Send your chair model and support item number to confirm the mount.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It carries a support; it does not replace the pad or belt that positions.
- Mount and support are separate items with their own item numbers.
- Every part is quote-only and ordered by item number.
- Headrest and anterior trunk support material and foam are covered for 24 months, and removable covers for 6 months. A positioning tray and its mounting hardware are covered for 12 months.
How does it compare?
- PowerPlus Relax multi-axis headrest: a complete head support with its mount.
- Bodypoint Stayflex chest support: an anterior trunk support with brackets.
Frequently asked questions
Does the mount come with the pad?
No. Mounts, pads and straps have separate item numbers, so tell us which support you are fitting.
Can I order only the bracket?
Yes, where that part is still listed; we quote it alone.
Will it fit another maker's chair?
Only where Ki Mobility lists the mount for that frame or back; it is not a universal fit.
