Description
The Ki Mobility Axiom Softgoods are chest supports, pelvic belts, calf panels and ankle straps. Brackets are Axiom Hardware, ordered separately.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Airlogic one-piece chest pads fit a 6-8 in (15.2-20.3 cm) chest at XX-Small through 18-20 in (45.7-50.8 cm) at XX-Large.
- Pelvic belts are 2-point or 4-point, padded or plain, with a centre pull or a rear pull.
- Ankle straps, 3-point ankle positioners and calf panels cover the lower leg.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
Use it to replace a worn Axiom pad, or when the plan names a chest, pelvic or lower-leg support. A chest support sold with its brackets is the Bodypoint Stayflex.
Will it fit?
Measure the person. Chest width picks the chest pad. Side-release 3-point ankle positioners run from a 4.5-7 in (11.4-17.8 cm) ankle to a 12.5-15 in (31.8-38.1 cm) ankle.
We confirm the item and the chair it must fit before you order. A free home assessment can measure at home.
Using it day to day
- Wipe the supports with soap and water. Machine-wash a removable cover in hot water at 60 C (140 F).
- Anterior trunk supports: material and foam for 24 months, removable covers for 6 months. The anti-thrust pelvic support: material and foam for 12 months. Expected life is 5 years.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It fits a chair that already has Axiom mounts, or a bracket from Axiom Hardware. The bracket is not part of the pad. See the positioning support range.
Which version should I choose?
Pick trunk, pelvis or lower leg first. Then pick 2-point or 4-point for a belt, and Airlogic or Dynaform for a chest pad.
How does it compare?
The Stayflex includes its brackets. The PowerPlus Relax is a head support, not a strap. More pads are under wheelchair accessories.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy one part on its own?
Yes. Quote the item number, or a photo of the worn part, and that one piece is ordered.
Does the pad include the bracket?
No. Brackets and clamps are Axiom Hardware, and they are ordered separately for your chair.
Will it fit another brand of wheelchair?
Only when that chair already has Axiom mounts, or you add Axiom Hardware for it.
