Drive grey underarm cushions, item RTL10446, are the replacement top pad for six Drive underarm crutches, from youth through tall adult.
What does it do and how does it work?
The pad sits at the top of the crutch, under the arm.
- Each pad is 8 in (20.3 cm) by 7/8 in (22 mm), in grey.
- The item is one pair, and a case holds eight pairs.
- The crutches, hand grips and tips stay the ones already on your crutch.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- Choose it when a listed Drive underarm crutch is still sound and only the top pad is worn or missing.
- Choose a full pair of crutches when the frame, tips and grips are worn as well.
- Skip it for forearm crutches, wooden crutches, and pediatric crutch 10416.
Will it fit?
One pad size covers every model below. Match the number on your crutch before you order.
- 10400 is the adult aluminum crutch, 10401 the youth, and 10402 the tall adult.
- 10430 is the adult EZ Adjust, for a user 5 ft 2 in to 5 ft 10 in (157 cm to 178 cm).
- 10431 is the youth EZ Adjust, for 4 ft 6 in to 5 ft 2 in (137 cm to 157 cm).
- 10432 is the tall adult EZ Adjust, for 5 ft 10 in to 6 ft 6 in (178 cm to 198 cm).
Using it day to day
Use the grey pad as the underarm cushion on a crutch from that list, and keep the grip and tip already on it.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- The hand grip is separate. Drive 10400 series hand grips RTL10453 cover 10400, 10401, 10430, 10431 and 10432.
- A crutch outside those six numbers, including 10416, needs a different pad.
How does it compare?
- ProBasics anodized aluminum underarm crutches are a full pair when the frame itself needs replacing.
- Hugo Comfort Max tall adult crutches bring their own pads, so this Drive spare does not fit them.
- A cane or a walker is a different aid. Start with walking aids when crutches are not what you need.
Frequently asked questions
Will this pad fit a pediatric Drive crutch 10416?
No. RTL10446 is for 10400, 10401, 10402, 10430, 10431 and 10432. Pediatric 10416 is not on that list.
Will it fit a forearm crutch?
No. The fit list is underarm crutches. A forearm crutch uses a cuff, not this pad.
Is the tall-crutch pad longer than the youth pad?
No. RTL10446 is one size, 8 in (20.3 cm) by 7/8 in (22 mm), for adult, youth and tall.
