The Drive Levantar Floor Patient Lift With Power Base is an electric floor lift for moving a person who cannot take weight through their legs.
Who is the Levantar power-base lift for?
It suits a home where one caregiver does most transfers and the person cannot stand or bear weight, between a bed, chair, wheelchair or floor.
Will it fit your home?
- The base is 31.6 in (805 mm) outside closed and 45.8 in (1165 mm) outside open, so it straddles a wheelchair or recliner.
- The legs stand 5.3 in (135 mm) off the floor with 2.9 in (76 mm) ground clearance.
- The boom runs 33 to 76 in (838 to 1930 mm) and lowers to 2.1 in (55 mm) at the hook.
Which slings fit the Levantar?
- The six-point cradle takes loop slings with spring clips; matching Drive slings are 13012, 13025 and 13026.
- Loop slings come in general-purpose, commode-opening and head-support shapes.
- Our patient lift slings page sets out the loop and clip types, and we size the sling with you.
How does a transfer work?
The hand control raises and lowers the boom and opens or closes the legs to widen the base. If power fails, emergency lowering works from the control module, with a mechanical device on the actuator.
Battery and charging
A removable 5.0 Ah pack (2.9 Ah also offered) charges on or off the lift on the desktop stand in about 3 hours. A low-voltage alarm sounds before the pack runs flat; no lifts-per-charge figure is published.
Drive's warranty covers the frame for life (15 years), the electronics for 5 years, the battery for 1 year and casters for 90 days.
Delivery, setup and service
We deliver and set up across Toronto and the GTA, charge the battery, fit the sling and explain the controls and emergency lowering. Our technicians service what we sell; for a short need, rent a patient lift first.
How does it compare?
The Levantar manual base uses a lever and lowers to 26 in; the Gravis power base carries 600 lb. See patient lifts.
Frequently asked questions
Can one caregiver use the Levantar power base alone?
A single trained and experienced caregiver may operate the lift, in line with ISO 10535:2006, and some circumstances call for two people.
Is a sling included?
No. The six-point cradle takes loop-style slings; Drive slings 13012, 13025 and 13026 match this model.
What happens if the power fails?
Emergency lowering works from the control module, and a mechanical device on the actuator gives a second route.
How long does charging take?
About 3 hours, on the lift or desktop stand.
