The Drive Solite Pro Homecare Bed Package (15006LP) is a full-electric profiling bed for someone who needs help sitting up, raising their legs or turning in bed at home, and for the caregiver who lifts them. It breaks into four sections and stands on its own transport stands, so two people can carry it into a bedroom and join it together without tools. The deck lowers to 11.6" (295 mm) and rises to 28.2" (715 mm), so a caregiver can work at a height that saves their back. The frame is sold without a mattress and without side rails.

What is included?

The carton holds the frame only: two covered bed ends, the backrest section, the leg section, two transport stands, four braked castors, the control box with its actuators, the handset with its lock key, and the fixing kit. No mattress and no side rails or grab handles are included, and the bed cannot be used until a mattress is on it. Three rail parts fit this frame: the 15006LEXRAIL telescopic side rails, the 15006LSHRTRAIL short grab handle and the 15006LPSTDRAIL standard grab handle. Any 36 by 80 inch homecare mattress fits the deck. See bed rails and medical mattresses for what we carry.

Description

The Drive Solite Pro (15006LP) is a full-electric homecare bed whose deck stops at 11.6 inches. See homecare beds.

Who is it for?

  • An adult who needs help to raise the back or the legs.
  • Weight capacity is 450 lb (204 kg). The person limit is 421 lb (191 kg).
  • Not for a user under 88.2 lbs (40 kg) or outside 57.5 to 79.1 inches tall.
  • Not the 15033, the 15235, or the 15005LP.

Will it fit the room?

  • Deck height, no mattress: 11.6 to 28.2 inches.
  • Platform 35.6 by 79.1 inches. Overall length 87.8 inches.
  • Width: 38 inches without rails, 39.96 inches with them.
  • The leg section extends the deck to 85.6 inches. The mattress is 80 inches, or 84 with the extension out.
  • Lock the extension fully in or fully out, mattress inside the side and foot retainers.
  • Four sections, each under 55 lbs. The backrest is heaviest at 50.7 lbs, and only qualified personnel should assemble it.

Frequently asked questions

What happens in a power cut?

Nothing moves until power returns. There is no crank, and a leg-rest battery box is only a factory option.

Can the foot tilt down?

Yes, 0 to 12 degrees, with a key lock per function. The shipping handset omits head-down tilt; a 10-button handset adds that and auto contour.

What is not included?

Transport stands are included. A mattress, the Grange rails and both grab handles are not.

Warranty details

Drive Medical warrants the Solite Pro community care bed (15006LP) to perform to its specification and stay free from defects in material and workmanship under normal conditions. The term depends on where it is bought.

  • Bought from an authorized dealer or distributor: 1 year, parts only.
  • Bought directly from Drive or its subsidiaries: 10 years on the frame; 5 years on the mechanism (1 year parts and labour, then 4 years parts only); 2 years on the electrics.
  • Covers the original purchaser; proof of purchase is required.
  • Excludes consumables, and damage from lightning, water or power surges, neglect, alteration, abuse, unapproved repairs or third-party products, acts of God, or not following instructions.
  • The bed needs a service at least once a year by authorized service personnel.
