The Drive Delta Ultra-Light 1000 low bed (15235) brings the deck near the floor, in our full-electric hospital beds.
Who is it for?
- An adult up to 350 lbs (159 kg). The low deck shortens the distance to the floor.
- Total load stops at 450 lbs (204 kg), including mattress, rails and accessories.
- Not the 15033 when a low deck is unnecessary, and not the 15005LP, the 15006LP, or a bariatric frame.
Will it fit the room?
- No mattress, casters in the low position: the deck runs 9.25 to 23 inches.
- Some Drive documents give 9.5 to 22.5 or 9.5 to 23.5 inches, so we confirm the figure for the bed supplied.
- Mattress deck 79.53 by 34.65 inches. Length 87.99 inches.
- Width 36.22 inches without rails, 38.58 inches with rails.
- Two cartons, built in the room. Heaviest piece is the spring deck at 97 lbs.
- The caster position is set at delivery; check it before the first transfer.
- The 15030EXTKIT lengthens the deck to 84 inches and is not included.
Which mattress and rails are safe on it?
- Use a 36 inch mattress, 80 or 84 inches long, 5.5 to 7 inches thick.
- Outside that thickness, a gap can open beside the rail.
- Drive names the innerspring 15006 and the therapeutic mattress 15019.
- Rails: 15201BV or 15001ABV only.
- A care team decides whether rails are used. Drive's SGS test is not a promise of no gaps.

Frequently asked questions
What happens in a power cut?
The footboard crank moves the height with no power. A separate 9 volt battery lowers the head and foot nine times, not the height.
What is not in the carton?
No mattress and no rails: 15235 is the frame, pendant and crank. Do not use it without a mattress that fits.

Drive Medical warrants the Delta Ultra-Light 1000 full electric low bed (15235). During the warranty period, Drive repairs or replaces defective items at its option at no charge.
- Welds: lifetime.
- Frame: 5 years.
- Motor: 5 years.
- All other parts and components: 1 year.
- Void after unauthorized service or modification, work by unqualified people, or use of parts or accessories other than authorized Drive Medical replacements.
