Ezee Life CH4096 10 inch folding chair

The Ezee Life Ezee Fold 6G CH4096 is a folding power wheelchair for one adult up to 300 lb (136 kg).

What does it do and how does it work?

• It drives on 10 in solid rear wheels and 8 in by 2 in solid casters, and folds for a car.
• The joystick mounts on the left or right arm, with power, speed, a battery gauge and a horn.
• Release the joystick and the chair stops. Switching the power off while it moves can damage the electromagnetic brakes.
• Wear the seat belt and keep your feet on the footrest. Anti-tip wheels limit a rearward tip.
• A wire-loop latch locks the frame open. The 24 V, 12 Ah lithium battery charges in 6-8 hours, for a 25 km (15.5 mile) range. Top speed is 6 km/h (3.7 mph).

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

It suits an adult who folds this chair into a vehicle.

• Choose another chair over 300 lb (136 kg), or if the rider needs a back taller than 13.8 in (35 cm).

Will it fit?

• Seat width 18.1 in (46 cm), depth 16.5 in (42 cm), seat height 19.7 in (50 cm), back height 13.8 in (35 cm).
• Net weight is 63.9 lb (29 kg). A 15.75 in overall width is narrower than the seat, so it is not the doorway width.
• We confirm the open width, with the joystick on your side, before you order. Do not cross a floor gap wider than 4 in (10 cm).

Using it day to day

Pull the push handle and the front seat frame apart, then flip the latch wire up until the frame locks. Lower each armrest and turn the locking lever up.

Slide the joystick tube into either arm and tighten the nut. Connect the cord, both motors and the batteries, then charge in a ventilated space.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

• One rider. No passengers, no towing, and no driving in traffic except on a sidewalk.
• Do not climb a slope over 12 degrees, cross a side slope of 3 degrees or more, or back down a ramp.
• Stay off soft dirt, loose gravel, deep snow and long grass. The obstacle limit is 2 in (5 cm).

Which version should I choose?

Choose the CH4096 for 10 in solid rear wheels. The Ezee Fold 6G CH4095 is the same seat, capacity, speed and range with 12 in solid rear wheels.

How does it compare?

• The Jazzy Carbon is the carbon-fibre folder when 63.9 lb (29 kg) is too heavy to lift.
• The Pride Go Chair is the compact portable chair when this seat is more than you need.
