Description
The Golden Avenger GA541 is a four-wheel heavy-duty scooter rated 500 lb (226.8 kg), with 13" (330 mm) pneumatic tires and a frame that separates into two halves for a vehicle.
Who is it for?
A rider to 500 lb who wants four-wheel stability outdoors and can lift a 68 lb (30.8 kg) half, or has help. The seat lifts off and the frame splits at one pin. It is not for a tight hallway or a small bathroom: the turning radius is 67" (1702 mm).
How does it drive?
Top speed is 11.3 km/h (7 mph), and the maximum recommended incline is 8 degrees. Pneumatic 13" tires suit grass and gravel better than the small solid wheels on a pavement scooter, and foam-filled tires are an option if you would rather not check pressure.
Braking is electro-mechanical with freewheel mode and electronic speed control. The safety lights include four-way flashers. Ground clearance is 4" (102 mm) under the deck and 6.5" (165 mm) to the top of the deck.
Will it fit your home and car?
It is 57.5" (1461 mm) long and 24.5" (622 mm) wide. It does not fold: the seat and batteries lift off, a pin is pulled, and the front and rear halves separate at about 68 lb each. Measure the doorway, ramp and turning space at home, or book a free home assessment.
Batteries, charging and care
Two 12 V NF22 batteries, 37 lb (16.8 kg) each, are ordered separately, and the off-board charger is included. Charge for 6 to 8 hours after each use, and for 12 hours on the first charge even if the meter reads full. We replace worn batteries.
Seat, tiller and controls
The Captain's seat is 20" wide and 17" deep, with a contoured back, a headrest and extra-long armrests. It sits 25" to 28" (635 to 711 mm) off the ground in four positions and rotates 360 degrees, locking at each 90 degree point. The adjustable tiller has rubber grips, a key switch, an autolight, a battery meter and a horn.

Silver and red shrouds. Options include foam-filled tires, and the scooter comes with a removable front basket and a safety flag.

How does it compare?
The Companion HD three-wheel turns tighter and has a wider seat, but does not split for a car. The Fortress S425 is a four-wheel outdoor scooter at a lower capacity, with a 119" turn.

Warranty details
Golden Technologies warrants the Avenger heavy-duty 4-wheel (GA541) to the initial consumer, from the date of purchase from an authorized Golden provider, against defects in materials or workmanship.
- Steel frame, frame welds, tiller frame, front fork and seat post: lifetime limited.
- Transaxle and motor/brake assembly (electrical function): 2 years.
- Controller, dash, wire harnesses, potentiometer and battery charger: 2 years.
- Batteries supplied by Golden: 1 year.
- Bearings, bushings, rubber and plastic parts, seat swivel, armrests and accessories: 1 year.
- Excludes wear items (tires and tubes, motor brushes, brake pads, plastic shrouds, bulbs and fuses, upholstery, armrest pads), misuse, commercial use and exceeding the weight capacity.
- Parts only: labour, service calls and freight are the owner's cost. A warranty registration card must be on file.
