Description
The Handicare Freecurve here is fitted with a 90 degree large-radius rail, one configuration in our curved stairlifts. The rail is made after we measure the stair.
Will it fit your stairs?
The chair fits an incline from 0 to 61 degrees. Folded up, it is 16.5 to 17.4 in (419 to 442 mm) deep. Folded out, the depth is 25.1 to 26 in (638 to 660 mm). Those figures are the chair, not a promise that a 90 degree large-radius turn fits every landing.
Book a free home assessment. The inch radius of this large-radius turn is set on the rail drawing from that measure.
The chair itself
Capacity is 275 lb (125 kg). Drive is rack and pinion, 0.5 hp, 24 volt. Nominal speed is 21 ft/min (0.11 m/s), and 12 ft/min (0.06 m/s) through the curves. Park the chair on its charge point. The family page is the Freecurve in Toronto. A straight flight is a different lift.
Made for one staircase
A curved rail is built for your steps. It is not returnable once it is made, and a special order cannot be cancelled once it is placed: see the return policy.
In a private home used only by the household and its guests, a stairlift or porch lift is outside Ontario's elevating devices regulation (TSSA) unless the owner asks for it in writing.
Parts are covered for 24 months, and the rail and powertrain carry a limited lifetime warranty. Coverage requires purchase, installation and service by an authorized Savaria dealer. We confirm in writing how that applies before you rely on it. Our own service visits are described on service.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a different chair from the other Freecurve page?
No. It is the same Freecurve family; this one has the 90 degree large-radius rail, built to the measure.
Can I send the lift back if I move?
No. The rail is made for one staircase and is not returnable. Cancelling after the order is placed is covered on the return policy.
What does large radius mean in inches?
The measure sets the inch radius for your stair.
Where should the chair sit when nobody is riding?
Park it on the charge point. A chair left off charge until the batteries fail is not a warranty repair.
