Joerns Healthcare's Hoyer Comfort Access sling with head support, medium NA25577, is a padded clip sling that holds the head while clothing is moved for toileting.
What does it do and how does it work?
It opens the seat so clothing can come off, and it holds the head on a 4-point cradle.
- Securi3 clips connect the straps. Every green safety loop must be visible before the lift starts.
- Cross the leg straps onto the cradle's leg points. Shoulder straps go on the shoulder points.
- The front buckle only positions the sling. It is not a restraint, and it need not be tight.
- Safe working load is 500 lb (227 kg) on every size. The lift's lower limit still applies.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits about one in four sitting people with complete dependence (FIM 1-2).
- Not for a lift from lying on a bed or the floor.
- For most other transfers, see toileting slings.
Will it fit?
Match the weight guideline, then the fabric. We confirm the size before you order.
- Medium, yellow, NA25577: 125-200 lb (57-91 kg).
- Large, green, NA25578: 175-350 lb (79-159 kg).
- Extra large, blue, NA25579: 275-500 lb (125-227 kg).
- Top width runs 32.7 to 49.6 in (830 to 1260 mm). Length runs 61 to 73.2 in (1550 to 1860 mm).
- Bands overlap, so body shape can change the size. Small red NA25576 is a separate item.
Using it day to day
Fit it while the person is sitting, then stay with them.
- Place it under the shoulder blades and above the belt line. Feed each leg strap under the thigh with no twist.
- Never leave the person unattended. The lift can roll toward them as it takes their weight.
- Machine wash warm, no bleach, max 185 F (85 C). Air dry or very low heat. Do not dry clean.
- Discard the sling if it is torn, cut, frayed, bleached or broken. Do not alter it.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It needs a Hoyer 4-point clip cradle. A loop bar will not take these clips.
- Clip-cradle lifts: Presence and Stature. A loop bar on either lift will not take Securi3 clips.
- Another manufacturer's lift is not a match and can injure the person or the carer.

How does it compare?
- The Hoyer Access sling with head support does the same toileting job with loops on a 6-point bar.
- The Hoyer Comfort Access sling uses the same clips when the head does not need support.
- The Hoyer Presence is a floor lift that can take this clip cradle. The sling is sold on its own.
Frequently asked questions
Does the head support come off?
No. The head support is sewn into the sling. The buckle only adjusts the strap around the head.
What does the cradle pivot handle do?
Push the pivot handle down to change how upright the person sits while the clips are on the cradle.
How do I help them sit back on the way down?
Use light pressure on the thighs as the lift lowers. The leg supports can be adjusted for comfort.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer Comfort Access sling with head support, medium NA25577, a Hoyer Pro sling, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 12 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
