The Joerns Hoyer bariatric full-back sling is a polyester sling for a bariatric loop bar, in four sizes from medium to XXL, item numbers NA1072 to NA1075.
Which lifts does it fit?
It hangs on a bariatric loop spreader bar on the Hoyer Calibre or HPL700.
- It is for passive lifts only.
- The sling holds 850 lbs (386 kg); never exceed the lower of the sling and lift ratings.
- Hoyer advises against pairing its slings with another maker's lift.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a larger person who needs a full-back sling with head support for a passive lift transfer.
- The contoured shape fits like the traditional Quickfit without side suspenders, with a commode aperture and padded legs.
- It has an integrated boned head support as standard.
- A person who needs a divided-leg sling needs a different shape.
Which size?
All four sizes hold 850 lbs (386 kg): medium NA1072, large NA1073, extra large NA1074 and XXL NA1075.
- The binding colour marks the size: yellow for medium, green for large, blue for extra large and black for XXL.
- Bariatric body shapes vary, so weight alone does not choose the size; a clinician assesses the person.
How is it fitted?
From a seated position, feed the padded leg pieces under and up between the legs, cross the leg straps and attach them to the front hooks.
- From lying, roll the person onto the sling with the top of the commode aperture at the base of the spine, then attach to the shortest loops.
- Adjust both shoulder straps equally to change the seated posture.
How do you wash and inspect it?
Machine wash warm, no hotter than 185 F (85 C), with no bleach; dry at cool or very low heat, or air dry, and never dry clean.
- Check the sling and stitching before every use and after washing or drying.
- A bleached, torn, cut, frayed or broken sling must be discarded and replaced.
- Never alter the sling, and never move a person by pulling on the loops.
As a Hoyer Pro sling, it is warranted for 12 months from purchase to the original owner; see the Warranty tab.

Can it be used with the Hoyer Advance?
Joerns lists it for the Calibre and HPL700 with a bariatric loop bar. Ask us before pairing it with another lift.
Is it the same as the 500 lb full-back sling?
No. NA1067 to NA1071 is the standard full-back at 500 lbs; NA1072 to NA1075 is the bariatric full-back at 850 lbs.
Can the person be transferred from lying down?
Yes. Roll the person onto the sling with the top of the commode aperture at the base of the spine, then attach to the shortest loops.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer bariatric full-back sling (NA1072 to NA1075), a Hoyer Pro sling, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 12 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
