Description
The Joerns N641 is the LED SafeLight under-bed light for the UltraCare XT hospital bed. It lights the floor on either side in three soft settings for getting in and out at night.
What does it do and how does it work?
- It mounts under the bed and lights the floor on both sides.
- Three soft settings cover evening ingress, egress and transfers.
- The AdvanceCare staff control switches it. That panel's backlight button runs the SafeLight when this light is installed.
- The staff control's SafeLight function is programmable across the three levels.
- It installs without tools.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For an UltraCare XT room where the floor should be visible at night without a bright room light.
- Choose something else if the bed has no AdvanceCare staff control. That control is a separate accessory.
- A Span ReadyWide uses its own under-bed light, not the N641.

- N641 is the under-bed light named for the UltraCare XT.
- The EasyCare accessory list names an LED SafeLight without a part number. We confirm the EasyCare part number before you order.
Using it day to day
- Switch the light from the AdvanceCare staff control at the foot of the bed.
- Use one of the three soft settings for getting in, getting out, or a transfer in the evening.
- The hand pendant moves the deck. The labeled SafeLight button is on the staff control.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- It lights the floor under the bed. It is not a reading lamp for the room.
- It needs the AdvanceCare staff control. A bed without that panel has no SafeLight button.
- Other add-ons are listed under bed accessories.

Is N641 the staff control?
No. N641 is the under-bed light. The AdvanceCare staff control is a separate accessory, and it is the panel that switches the light.

The labeled SafeLight button is on the staff control at the foot of the bed. The hand pendant moves the back, knee and height.
Does installation need tools?
No. The SafeLight installs under the UltraCare XT without tools. The bed and the staff control are not in the box.
