The Joerns N354AL is a frame-mounted 4 in (10 cm) length extension kit for the Joerns WeCare full-electric bed. It turns the standard 80 in (203 cm) mattress platform into an 84 in (213 cm) one.
What does it do and how does it work?
- The kit adds 4 in (10 cm) to the WeCare mattress platform, which runs 80 in (203 cm).
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For a taller resident whose feet reach the foot panel on an 80 in bed.
- Choose the CareWide accessory instead if the bed needs to be wider: 39 in (99 cm) or 42 in (107 cm).
Will it fit?
- Fits the WeCare ordering codes WECC-WECARE-RIL, WECC-WECARE-RAH and WECC-WECARE-BASE.
- The extended platform is 84 in (213 cm) long, 35 in (89 cm) wide.
- The bed carries 450 lb (204 kg) safe working load, counting the person, mattress, bedding and accessories; the person's limit is 400 lb (181 kg).
- Use a mattress that matches the 84 in platform. Health Canada advises checking that the mattress is the right size and type for the bed frame.
