Description
The Leckey Everyday Activity Seat is a paediatric activity seat for children and young adults aged 1 to 18, in three sizes up to 220 lb (100 kg). A four-point pelvic harness holds the pelvis on a hi-low or mobile chassis.
What does it do and how does it work?
The seat holds the pelvis and trunk stable while leaving the arms free.
- Harness: four-point pelvic harness, adjusted from the centre buckle.
- Seat and back: contoured back, ramped seat cushion, moulded armrests, breathable covers.
- Footplate: flip-up, height and angle adjustable.
- Hi-low chassis: raises the seat from floor to table height; gas-spring, powered and hydraulic versions.
- Tilt: adjusts with the user in the seat and locks.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a child or young adult with moderate needs who needs pelvic stability, not a complex postural system.
- Complex needs: the Leckey Mygo adds shaped trunk and head support.
- Mild support: the Leckey PAL is the lighter seat.
- A seating assessment by an occupational therapist or physiotherapist decides the size and options.
Will it fit?
Three sizes; measure the child's seat width, depth and back height.
- Size 1: 66 lb (30 kg), seat width 6.3 to 11 in (160 to 280 mm).
- Size 2: 110 lb (50 kg), seat width 10.2 to 15 in (260 to 380 mm).
- Size 3: 220 lb (100 kg), seat width 13.4 to 19.7 in (340 to 500 mm).
- Seat depth is 5.9 to 18.9 in (150 to 480 mm), back height 11.8 to 24.8 in (300 to 630 mm), with an extended depth option.
Using it day to day
Set the seat up once, then check it each time.
- Fasten the pelvic harness and all harnesses before moving the seat or leaving the child.
- Adjust the lower leg length, footplate angle and armrest height; lock the tilt at the chosen angle.
- Machine wash the covers; hand clean the frame with warm water and mild detergent, never a power washer.
- Never leave the user unattended. Check the harnesses after spasms and the castors and brakes before use.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It takes Leckey's accessories and chassis options; it does not replace a complex seating system.
- Options: headrests, laterals, harnesses, pommel, side pads, trays and foot supports.
- Chassis: four types, two chassis colours, two fabric types and five colours.
- Load: do not exceed the size's maximum load.
- Warranty: 3 years on Leckey manufactured products and components.
How does it compare?
- Leckey Mygo adds shaped trunk and head support.
- Leckey PAL is the lighter seat for a child who needs only mild support.
- Patient room products lists the rest of the range.

Frequently asked questions
Can one seat be shared between two children?
Often yes. The settings adjust, so note both children's measurements when you ask for a quote.
Will the same seat still fit in two years?
Within one size, yes. When the child passes the load or width limit, move up a size.
Can the seat be moved between rooms?
That depends on the chassis. All have castors with directional locks; ask us to quote the one for your rooms.
