The Maxima SC941 from Pride Mobility is a four-wheel heavy-duty scooter rated 500 lb (226.75 kg), with a 53 in (1346 mm) turn.
What does it do and how does it work?
- A 24-volt rear-wheel transaxle gives up to 9.3 km/h (5.8 mph) and climbs 7.5 degrees (13 percent).
- Two 58 Ah gel batteries give up to 31.4 km (19.5 mi) per charge at maximum capacity.
- The delta tiller has an infinite-position lever, USB charger, XLR port and full LED lights.
- The high-back seat is 22 in wide with 18 to 20 in of depth, reclines 106 degrees, swivels four ways and has a 7 in (178 mm) headrest.
- The 5 A off-board charger fills the pack in 8 to 14 hours.
- Solid tires (10 in front, 10.75 in rear) need no air.

Using it day to day
- Charge 8 to 14 hours after each day of use; give the batteries 48 continuous hours monthly.
- Never charge with an extension cord, near flames or while someone is sitting on it.
- The freewheel lever lets you push it on level ground; return it to drive before riding.
- The seat swivels for getting on and off, and the tiller lever locks at the angle you set.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- The 500 lb (226.75 kg) capacity includes the rider and everything carried.
- The maximum slope is 7.5 degrees (13 percent); the obstacle limit is 2 in (50 mm).
- Use only the supplied off-board charger, never a car charger.

Does the power elevating seat come fitted?
It is ordered with the scooter and adds 6.25 in (159 mm); check the raised height against your doorways.
Can I charge it overnight?
Yes. The charger stops when full; if charging is not done within 24 hours, unplug it and call us.
Can I ride it in cold weather?
Store it between -25 C and 50 C (-13 F and 122 F); cold slows a battery.
Can I use a different charger?
No. A car charger, or one that charges the batteries separately, can damage them.

Warranty details
Pride Mobility warrants the Maxima 4-wheel sold in Canada to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship.
- Structural frame (main frame, fork, seat post, tiller frame): limited lifetime.
- Transaxle, motor brake (electronic function), brake, bearings and bushings: 2 years.
- Controller, charger, harnesses and other electrical parts: 2 years.
- Pride batteries: 13 months from purchase.
- Excludes wear items (shrouds, motor brushes, upholstery and seating, brake pads, tires and tubes, fuses and bulbs), abuse, misuse and non-Pride parts.
- Labour, service calls and shipping are not covered unless Pride authorizes them in advance. Service is by an authorized Pride provider.
