The Prism Multi Backrest is a padded tension wheelchair back with adjustable side supports, from Future Mobility Healthcare.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Padded back: breathable fabric with adjustable tension straps, so the fitter can set contact along the back.
- Laterals: adjustable pads at the sides add lateral contact where the trunk needs it.
- Not a rigid shell: this is padded tension upholstery rather than a moulded shell, so the back gives where the straps are set.
- Mounting: quick-release hardware with a silver-flip release and three height screws set with an Allen key.

- Adjustable tension: for a seating plan that needs strap tension set along the back, with lateral contact.
- Rigid shell needed: the Prism Basic and Prism Ultra are rigid foam-padded backs.
