The Priva Ultra Sheet Protector With Handles (P12605/H) is a reusable, four-layer bed pad, 34 by 36 in (86 by 91 cm), with a sewn handle at each side.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Four layers: a quilted top, a high-density 7 oz absorbent core and a vinyl barrier.
- The Vintex Safeguard barrier is Canadian made and free of lead, cadmium, mercury and phthalates.
- A handle sewn into each side gives a carer a grip for turning or repositioning.
- It is reusable and washable.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For home care and daily repositioning.
- If the person moves a lot, the flaps version (P12205) stays put.
- If no turning is needed, choose the plain Ultra pad (P12605).
Will it fit?
- 34 by 36 in (86 by 91 cm) covers the middle of a twin or hospital bed.
- The handles sit at the left and right edges; leave space at the sides.
- Measure the bed before ordering.
Using it day to day
- Lay it quilted side up, cover it with the sheet, and grip a handle.
- Machine wash to 40 C (104 F), non-chlorine bleach only, no fabric softener; dry normally, do not iron.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- It is a bed pad, not a slide sheet or a hoist sling.
- On a chair, use a seat protector.
How does it compare?

Which way up does the pad go?
Quilted side up, vinyl barrier down; reversed, fluid cannot reach the absorbent core.
Can the handles lift a person?
No. They turn someone in place; a hoist is for a full transfer.
Does it replace a slide sheet?
No. A slide sheet reduces friction; this pad gives two grip points.
