Who is it for?
- Blake designs the Bronze for wheelchair users who can reposition themselves or shift their weight, and who want a comfortable seat that damps vibration more than they need skin protection.
- Choose another cushion if the person cannot shift weight or the therapist prescribes skin protection.
- Choose the right cushion in a seating assessment with an occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
Will it fit?
- Match the wheelchair seat width and depth. Blake allows up to 1 inch (25 mm) beyond the front edge and, against armrests or side guards, 1 inch wider.
- Blake makes any other width or depth to order.
How does it work?
- The whole cushion is gel: a firm blue sheet 1 inch (25 mm) thick at the bottom and a medium green sheet 1 inch (25 mm) thick on top, each formed as a grid of gel columns.
- The closed-cell gel needs no inflation or fluid-level check and does not leak.
What are the care limits?
- Both covers can be machine washed at up to 60°C (140°F); Blake says not to wring them and to lay them flat to dry.
- Covers are made to the cushion's size, so a spare must match the width and depth you order.

What is the difference between the Geo-Matrix Bronze and the Geo-Matrix Silver?
The Silver adds a third, softer pillow-top gel sheet on top of the blue and green ones.
Can the gel in the Bronze leak or go flat?
Blake makes Geo-Matrix gel as a dry, closed-cell polymer, so there is no fluid to leak or move and no air to lose.
Does the Bronze come with a cover, and can I buy a spare?
Every Bronze comes with two covers: a wipeable inner cover around the gel and a fluid-proof stretch outer cover with a non-slip base.
