Description
The Quickie M6 is a heavy duty folding wheelchair from Sunrise Medical, with a steel frame, a 650 lbs (295 kg) weight limit and seat widths from 22" to 30".
Who is the M6 for?
It suits a rider over the width and weight a standard folding wheelchair carries, and someone who folds a chair into a car. The M6 is not rated as a seat in a vehicle, so a rider transfers to the car seat.
Which seat width and depth do I order?
Frame width comes in 22", 24", 26", 28" and 30". Seat depth runs 18" to 22", and 20" and over need the long frame. Front seat-to-floor height is 17", 18.5" or 20". Measure the seated hip width at its widest point, or book a free home assessment.
How does it fold, and how heavy is it to lift?
The crossbrace frame folds side to side and weighs 53 lbs (24 kg). The rear wheels are quick release for a car trunk, and the stabilizer bar holds it rigid when open.
How is it set up and adjusted?
Armrests are height adjustable in desk or full length, the back comes in four preset heights from 16-3/4" to 20-1/8", and the hangers swing away at 60, 70 or 80 degrees.
Which options, colours and accessories are there?
Twenty standard frame colours, plus zebra, desert camouflage, Mossy Oak and stars and stripes. Wheels are 24" spoke or Spinergy, casters are 5" soft roll or 8" pneumatic, and JAY cushions and backs fit.

Frequently asked questions
Can the rider push the M6 alone?
Yes, it has 24" rear wheels with handrims.
Will it fit in a car trunk?
The frame folds and the rear wheels release without tools.
Does the M6 tilt or recline?
No, the back is fixed at 8 degrees.
How much does it weigh without the wheels?
The 53 lbs (24 kg) figure is the complete chair; ask for the wheels-off weight of your build.
